About UsFor over 60 years Pirmasens-based Wilhelm Textil has been coordinating the production of shoe textiles and its many associated refinement processes. Decades of experience in the field of footwear, the stringent quality approach to material and processing, as well as the sophisticated and comprehensive collection of technical fabrics, fashionable upper fabrics and linings have transformed the company into Europe's market leader. With its focus on international sales markets, global production developed into one of the core capabilities of company strategy. As the first non-European affiliate of Wilhelm Textil, our production headquarters in India was inaugurated in 1994. Successfully so: Along with the main headquarters in New Delhi, the company has now also established a sales office with its own logistics center in Chennai in southern India. The company was founded in 1948 by Hermann Wilhelm in Pirmasens. Wilhelm Textil® excelled from the outset on the basis of quality, innovation and versatility of its core segment. Following several extensions made to the original premises in downtown Pirmasens, the Directors made the decision, in 1971, to expand the facilities of the company by moving to more specialised headquarters in the current building at Im Erlenteich in Pirmasens with its modern
offices, extensive storage capacity and optimum logistical facilities. Under the direction of the current Managing director Werner Wilhelm, son of the company founder Hermann Wilhelm, the focus since the beginning of the 1990‘s has increasingly been towards sales in international markets. |
