Incepted in the year 1993, Wincoat Colours & Coatings Private Limited, has established itself as an eminent manufacturer, exporter and supplier of readymix for tablet coating. Moreover to become a one stop solution for clients we also offer consulting services to customers for the type of selection of coatings and on FDA color regulations. We carry demonstration on placebos as well as on customer tablet for the convenience of our clients.

Initially our company was established under the name, Tamhane Coatings and subsequently merged with Wincoat Colours and Coatings Pvt. Ltd. Since its inception, we are striving to offer wide assortment of environmental friendly functional and non functional coatings for tablets. Our ultra modern production unit was established in 1997 at Ambernath, 60 kms from Mumbai and is first in its category to be granted a manufacturing license from Food and Drug Administration, Maharashtra, India.

Leveraging on industrial experience of more than a decade, we manufacture and offer wide spectrum of readymix for tablet coating. To maintain quality from the beginning of the process, we procure raw material from trusted vendors. Our environmental friendly aqueous coatings are manufactured from premium grade of cellulose and non toxic food colors. Our wide range of readymix for tablet coatings comprises of: Wincoat WT (Regular Aqueous or Non-Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - S (Regular Non-Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - AQ (Regular Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - MP (Moisture Protective Non-Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - MPAQ (Moisture Protective Aqueous film Coating), Wincoat WT - N (Enteric Non-Aqueous Film Coating), wincoat WT - NAQ (Enteric Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - TR (Transparent Aqueous or Non-Aqueous Film Coating), Wincoat WT - PRL (Regular Aqueous or Non-Aqueous Film Coating) and Wincoat WT - WG (Color Concentrate for Sugar Coating).

Our manufactured tablet coatings are ready to use film coating system with film forming polymers like Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose, Cellulose Acetate Phthalate, Hydroxy Propyl Methyl Cellulose Phthalate, Plasticizers, Opacifiers and colours. Further, we also provide tablets with edible shrink-wrap forming uniform thin film on tablet. All embossing on the tablet are visible even after coating.

Quality being our forte, we comply with various international standard while manufacturing environment friendly readymix tablet coating. Our manufactured aqueous coatings are non toxic and are in compliance to WHO GMP norms. We test the color density, viscosity, metal content and several other features of tablet coatings by using sophisticated  instruments like UV spectrophotometer, brook field viscometer & reflectance spectrometer with computerized color matching programme. To maintain hygienic condition, 5µ filtered UV treated water is used for cleaning the equipment.

Our quality inspectors conduct regular inspection for various quality parameters and keep the record of the final result. For the satisfaction of clients, we offer following reports:

• Qualitative analysis report: comprises of list of ingredients of particular WINCOAT* along with the name of the pharmacopoeia to which they are complying
• Certificate of analysis: showing the tests carried out of that particular WINCOAT*, limits and results obtained
• Color matching report: Shows graphs of both standard and batch that helps in matching the color and identifying the colorants.

For the convenience of our clients while registering for the products, we also specify color C.I No. in the report.
