Process We Follow - Investment Casting
To ensure the highest quality standards of our products, we follow an established process known as Investment Casting in the manufacture of our products. In this process, we cast various ferrous and non ferrous materials from 1 gram to 50 kg single piece. Investment casting process is enlisted below step-by-step:
The first stage of production is DIE, which is made up of aluminium. It is fundamentally developed as per the customer drawings or the original component.
From this DIE, we make pattern that is made up of WAX. This pattern is created with use of WAX in a high pressure injection machine. The assembly of numbers of pattern will forms a tree for forwarding to the next step, ceramic coating.
Ceramic coating is made approximately 10 times, further followed by 5 to 8 hrs of frequency. The purpose of this coating is to get adequate strength in the mould to withstand the thrust of metal at the time of pouring.
After the completion of ceramic coating, the tree moves ahead for the removal of inside wax. This process is termed as DEWAXING. After this process, the inside wax will be completely removed from the mould.
At this moment, the mould is empty or hollow. Molten metal is poured to the cavity of the mould. Then molten metal pouring is done along with chemical testing by using the SPECTRO MACHINE.
Then comes all the fettling activities that are done for finishing propos.
Final dispatch is done with heat treatment and dimensional approval of QC.
