Acrylic Copolymer Emulsion

Our company also formulates Acrylic Copolymer Emulsion YP-ACR, which is a cement based 'acrylic copolymer emulsion' for coatings, screed and mortar. These are used to enhance water proofing and mechanical properties like tensile, flexural, adhesion, compressive and impact strength.


  • Suitable for water proofing coatings of toilet, roof, terrace, water tank, basement, swimming pool, etc
  • Used for repairing of concrete and masonry works, for protection of concrete against salt attacks, corrosion, etc
  • Used as an additive in cement paints to improve their water proofing properties and increases durability

Directions for Use:

Surface Preparation:


The substrate must be cleaned and free from dust, paint, grease, plaster, oil, scale, corrosion deposits, and other deleterious substances.




After this, damp the surface with least amount of water. Scrub with YP ACR into the substrate. Then apply mortar topping while the primer is still tacky.


Typical Mix designs to modify mortars:


OPC 50 kg + Zone 2 Sand 150 kg + YP ACR 8-10 liters


Then, water is added to give the needed consistency. It is always recommended to conduct trials to optimize the mix designs.

Process for repairs:

  • All surfaces including edges should be primed , using YP ACR
  • Temporary shuttering should be used
  • Water content of the mortar should be kept least
  • Use clean &dry sand.
  • Where the use of wet sand is unavoidable, the quality of water to be added must be reduced Mortars should be cured using YP ACR to prevent rapid drying out
  • Mortar should not be re tempered after initial set
