Our UPS systems use PWM technology with high frequency switching (using IGBTs) in the inverter. The IGBT or Insulated Gate Bi-polar Transistors are the most recent components used globally for inversion purpose. They use advantages of both bipolar transistor and Voltage-controlled drivers. The former provides increased current, voltage and frequency, whereas the latter provides elevated input/output performances.
