Used to dress denuded areas of the wound, these paraffin gauze dressings are coated with soft paraffin jelly making them non-adherent, non allergenic and gamma sterile. These paraffin gauze dressings help in the speedy recovery of wounds and help them protect from bacteria and other antibodies. Chlorhexidine Gauze Dressing B.P. Consists of fabric of Leno weave of cotton, which has been impregnated with white soft paraffin. Also available in above packing coated with Chlorhexidine 0.5% w/w.

Antibiotic Tulle Dressing (Polymyxim B Sulphate + Neomycin Sulphate + Bacitracin Zinc)

Medicated gauze dressing impregnated topical ointment containing Neomycin, Polymyxin and Bactracin which are synergistic.

• Polymixn B Sulphate USP 5000 Units, a peptide antibiotic, disorganises outer membrane of bacterial cell.
• Bacitracin Zinc USP 400, a polypeptide antibiotic, inhibits cell wall synthesis. It is primarily effective against a wide range of Gram +ve and a few Gram-ve bacteria including anaerobic cocci.

Indications

For burnes, scalds, abrasions, lacerations, crush injuries, diabetic ulcers, skin grafting, pressure sores, colostomies, surgical wounds etc. It has been Sterilised by Gamma Irradiation.

The sterilized tulle gauze is impregnated in water soluble ointment base Containing Nitrofurazone 0.2% w/w, which helps quick healing.

• Nitrofurazone is active in the presence of pus and debris in water soluble base.

It is used to treat infected or potentially infected burns, wounds, ulcer dressing and skin grafts.


Uses : Framycetin gauze dressing, framycetin tulle dressing has a wide range of antibacterial activity as is an ideal dressing for an immediate use in variety of infected lesions.

Thermal : Burns, scals. Traumatic: Lacerations, abrasions, bites, puncture wounds, crush injuries.

Ulcerative : varicose, diabetic, decubitus and tropical,

Elective : Skin grafts, avulsion, of figure and/or toe nails, circumcision, suture lines.

Miscellaneous : Secondary infected skin conditions (e.g. eczema, dermatitis herpes zoster), colostomies, ileostomies, tracheotomies, incised abscesses, incised perionychia.
