Acharya Nagarjuna, the profounder of the Madhyamika Buddhism is one of the greatest philosophers India has ever produced. Pharmacy Education and practice has unique place in the society which encompasses the developments in scientific research, industry and practice. It is a health profession linking the health sciences with chemical sciences in order to provide safe and effective administration of pharmaceutical drugs. Pharmacy professionals are therefore are the experts on drug therapy whose role is becoming more and more responsible in the contemporary world in the manufacturing , counseling and administering the formulations for positive results. With this motive university is marching ahead to provide world class seat of quality education and research in pharmaceutical sciences.

The University has about 24 affiliated Pharmacy colleges imparting training at B.Pharmacy level with a few of them having M.Pharmacy course besides Pharm D course.

The University has post graduate programmes in Pharmacy since 2008 with two specializations : Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmaceutical Chemistry leading to M.Pharmacy degree with an intake of 18 students each The first batch has completed the course. University is starting two more specializations in pharmaceutics and Pharmacology with an intake 18 students each from the academic year 2011-12.

Salient features Spacious building: The College is housed in a spacious building with a total plinth area of around 50,000 sft with a cost of Rs five crores.

Dr G.S.Raju , Managing director of Siris Pharmaceutical Company has donated an amount of Rs one crore for the development of Pharmacy college and the University aptly taken decision to name the Pharmaceutical Science College building after him as “Dr G.S.Raju Pharmacy Bhavan”.
