ACEN Zonal Paging PA system is an audio announcement cum intercommunication system. All stations have equal priority. It is intended for making announcements from any location in selected zones of large areas- including noisy areas. It includes an intercommunication system where a 'caller' needs to contact the 'called' person in a certain zone. He may subsequently speak to the ‘caller’through the handset. Several zones may be selected at a time forming a temporary group for broadcasting the announcements.
Maximum number of zones is 15.
A 'station' consists of a 'Terminal' and a 'loudspeaker system'.
The Terminals is Wall mounting.
The Terminals:
The terminals are ruggedly constructed and can be mounted on a wall, column, or on a pipe grouted to the flooring.
These Terminals consist of:
· A set of switches to address a called person/s (or announce in a Zone). A separate switch is provided to select 'All' zones at a time.
· A handset that consists of a close speaking, noise canceling microphone and a headphone for private listening.
· A 'BUSY' indicator indicates that the system is busy attending some other caller.
· A 'Ready' indicator indicates that the system is free to use.
· A 'caller id' indicator indicates the station from which announcement is initiated. If the system is 'BUSY' caller id appears on all stations.
·A 120Watt amplifier.
· Facility to connect external loudspeaker/s that receive announcements from remote stations as well as from the same (LOCAL) station.
· A built in volume control.

When the handset is off hook, the loudspeakers of that zone will be defeated and the headphone in the handset will work. · A built in loudspeaker receives announcement from remote station if the handset is on hook. · The microphone of the handset is ‘ON’ only when the ‘Press to Talk’ switch on handset is pressed. This reduces surrounding noise while listening through the headphone. · A 'Private Channel' switch that when pressed mutes the loudspeakers of that station and allows a one to one communication through lifted handsets.
