Biuret
Biuret is an exclusive, controlled-release, non-protein nitrogen source. Biuret’s predictable and safe rumen ammonia release pattern allows for greater formulation flexibility for both  and dairy rations. Biuret is not hygroscopic and is superior to urea-based products for all applications where supplemental NPN is required, including free-choice minerals, blocks and tubs, range cubes, conventional rations, and liquid feed applications. The unique nature of biuret makes it easy to include in ruminant diets while lowering cost of production.

At ADM, we use two processes to produce feed ingredients from corn:  dry milling and wet milling. Corn co-products, the feed products made during these processes, are an excellent feed source for livestock.

We source products for livestock and animal feed through the milling process of wheat, corn and sorghum.

Wheat Milling Products:
Wheat middlings, created from the commercial milling of wheat into flour, are granular particles of the wheat endosperm, bran and germ. They are an important source of energy, protein, vitamins and minerals and are used extensively in feeds for a variety of species.

Wheat red dog consists of the offal from the “tail of the mill,” with some fine particles of wheat bran, wheat germ and wheat flour. It is a source of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals, and must not contain more than 4 percent fiber. It also enhances pelleting and extrusion mixtures.

Corn Milling Products:
Corn hominy is produced from the manufacturing of pearl hominy, hominy grits or table meal. A mixture of corn bran, corn germ and part of the starchy portion of corn kernels, it has energy, protein and feeding characteristics similar to corn grain.

Corn screenings are produced from the cleaning of corn. They contain 70 percent or more corn and provide a feed value similar to corn.

Sorghum Milling Products:
Milo hominy, or grain sorghum mill feed, is a mixture of grain sorghum bran and germ, and part of the starchy portion of grain sorghum kernels. It has similar energy and protein profiles to corn grain and is very palatable.

Our oils and energy products include vegetable oil refinery lipid, vegetable oils from soybean, corn and flax, and HFP (high-fat product).

Vegetable oil refinery lipid is a readily available source of energy for livestock, made from the refining of vegetable oil for edible use. It acts in a manner similar to animal fat or vegetable oil in animal diets.

Both soybean oil and corn oil are used to add energy to the diet and contain high amounts of the essential fatty acid linoleic acid and unsaturated fatty acids. They also may be used to reduce dustiness in feeds. Flax oil has high levels of alpha-linolenic acid.

HFP (high-fat product) is a consistent blend of corn and soybean co-products high in energy and fiber. Its ability to provide more energy without depressing fiber digestion is ideal for dairy cows. It can be used in many types of animal feeds due to its highly digestible fiber component and low starch level.
