ADM is proud to be part of a joint venture called Glacial Technologies, which offers the Caliber® DC line of road stabilization and dust control liquids. The line combines the adhesive properties of the Caliber corn-based product with the hygroscopic nature of magnesium chloride. The products enhance road base performance by increasing stability and retaining the fine soil particles. 

Caliber DC products were tested in a Federal Highway Administration study that showed they had the highest performance and longevity of six dust control products tested. Caliber DC products have been proven to extend the life of traditional magnesium chloride applications in all types of climates and road bases ranging from hot desert to cold, wet mountainous regions.

ADM is a market leader in natural-source, high-performance oils used for a broad range of industrial applications. Our linseed oils, soybean oils and copolymer oils are key components in paints and coatings, printers’ inks, resins and candles.

Our linseed oil products are available in qualities ranging from raw and fully refined, to low acid-range (OKO) and medium acid-range (Alinco) heat-polymerized oils. Our soybean and other oils are available from fully refined to the highest quality and are also available in liquid and solid modified form.

Our linseed oils and soybean oils are used in a variety of high-quality inks and consumer products. Our linseed oils are also used in a variety of primers, paints and stains. We also offer copolymers with good solubility in petroleum-type thinners and solvents.

Candle makers use our soybean oil in place of paraffin to make cleaner-burning wax.

Solvents fulfill critical functions in chemical reactions including dissolving materials and controlling temperatures. ADM supplies industrial-grade, high-performing solvents.

Our industrial ethanol are used as solvents in household cleaners, personal products and fragrances. Soy methyl esters have applications in dissolving plastics.

Our completely denatured, specially denatured and pure ethanols are high quality with less than two parts per million (ppm) of any impurity. As a leading ethanol producer, ADM can provide the right product for each customer’s application.

ADM provides consistent, cost-effective, naturally-derived emulsifiers and thickeners for a broad range of applications including paints and coatings, oil well drilling, plastics and personal care items.

Our OptiXan xanthan gum delivers high viscosity at low concentrations. It thickens and stabilizes in paints and coatings, promotes shear thinning in oil drilling, thickens body and hair care products, improves mouthfeel in toothpaste and more.

ADM offers emulsifier systems for paints, inks, agricultural spray adjuvants, mining and drilling applications.

ADM’s quality control assures consistently effective emulsifiers and thickeners, and our distribution network ensures a dependable supply.

ADM offers polyols for enhanced functionality in a variety of personal care, pharmaceutical and industrial applications.

Our sorbitol is highly functional and can be used as a moisture conditioner, softener and shelf-life extender in multiple applications including adhesives, paper products, print rollers and leather.

It is also used as a chelating agent in textiles, caustic refining, paper and aluminum etching. Sorbitol also acts as a stabilizer and softener in laundry detergents, dyes and pigments, contact lens solutions, toothpaste and mouthwash, and personal care products.

Propylene Glycol USP (meets USP Specifications)
Propylene Glycol (PG USP/EP) is a pharmacopeia-specifications-grade excipient of monopropylene glycol (PG or MPG) with a specified purity greater than 99.5%. PG USP/EP is tested for compliance with the current United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

Since 1954, ADM has provided fermentation nutrients noted for their consistency and uniformity in applications ranging from soil screening to production scale. Our Proflo, Proflo Oil and Pharmamedia brands are the nutrients of choice for commercial-scale production of several antibiotics, enzymes, steroids, and biological pesticides and herbicides.

Made from Texas-grown cottonseed, our flours are available in 25-, 500- and 1,000-kilogram bags as well as in bulk trucks and rail cars. Our oil is available in 200-liter drums and 1,042 liter plastic totes as well as in bulk tank trucks and rail cars. Our cottonseed-derived nutrients are shipped economically and routinely to more than 20 countries throughout North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
