The hospital was started on 31st july 2009 by two young eye surgeons viz., Dr Amit Agarwal & Dr. Rachna Agarwal. Dr. Amit Agarwal completed his master’s degree in Ophthalmolgy in 2005. Thereafter did fellowship in Cornea and Anterior segment. He also worked as a Consultant in Dept. of Cornea and Anterior segment at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, Darya Ganj, New Delhi. Dr. Amit Agarwal has vast experience of microsurgeries of eye. He has performed thousands of eye surgeries including Phaco-emulisification for cataract, LASIK, Corneal Transplant, Glaucoma surgery (Trabeculectomy), Amniotic membrane transplant, Pterygium excision and autologous conjunctival transplant etc. He also worked as a trainer of Phaco surgery to the trainees from India and Abroad from June 2008 to April 2009 at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital. Studies and Presentations: Presented a paper titled “Computer Vision Syndrome: Some Facts” in Dr. P.K.Pandey Award session of the 39th Annual Conference of U.P.State Ophthalmic Society, held at Agra on 30th and 31th October,2004. Have been a co investigator in International clinical studies sponsored by Bosch and Lomb, on conjunctivitis and By O.R.A., U.S.A. on blepheroconjunctivitis. Completed a study on Fungal corneal Ulcers and presented in A.R.V.O., Jan 2009 in Hyderabad. Presented a Video of Aniridia ring implantation in Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society in April 2009. Presented a Poster on an unusual case of recurrent corneal erosion due to a honey bee sting in Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society in April 2009. Presented a paper on natural course of fungal ulcers in the cornea session of Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society in April 2009. Presented a free paper in the cataract and ant. Segment session in the 44th annual UPSOS, Nov. 2009. Presented a paper on Study of the natural course of fungal keratitis in patients who responded to medical therapy in Dr. V.N. Raizada Award Session in 44th annual UPSOS, Nov. 2009. Presented a video on management of Traumatic cataract in Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society in April 2010. Dr. Amit was invited as a Guest Faculty in Annual Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society in April 2010 and delivered a talk on Apprroch to patient of Scleritis. Presented two E-posters in the Mid Term Conference of Delhi Ophthalmological Society, November, 2010. Presented a Poster on Aggressive keratoacanthoma of the eyelid leading to mechanical ptosis in the 45th annual Conference of UPSOS, Dec. 2010. Presented a Free paper on Sterile Scleral Melt after Bare Sclera Excision of Pterygium in a healthy adult male in the 45th annual Conference of UPSOS, Dec. 2010. Dr. Rachna Agarwal did her graduation in Medicine in 2002 with Distinction in Ophthalmology. Later she got her further trianing in Ophthalmology and did D.N.B.(Ophthalmolgy) from Mohan Eye Institute, New Delhi.
