Biogas Bottling plant :

Purification of biogas by vacuum pressure swing adsorption was evaluated to produce fuel grade methane (FGM). Two different adsorbents were employed to evaluate the process performance with equilibrium- and kinetic-based adsorbents. Carbon molecular sieve 3K was employed as the example of a kinetic adsorbent because methane diffusion is extremely small. A five-step cycle configuration (feed, intermediate depressurization, blow down, purge, and pressurization) was employed to compare with results obtained with a four-step cycle without intermediate depressurization. The effect of different operating variables like step times and pressure conditions of the cycle was analyzed.

Our Nitrogen Plant operating on PSA technology, consists of twin tower system filled with special grade of carbon molecular sieves (C.M.S.) at a time, one tower keeps in production cycle and other in regeneration cycle. When compressed air passed through C.M.S. bed, the molecules of oxygen, moisture & other unwanted gases are adsorbed on surface of C.M.S. and the nitrogen which is not adsorbed by C.M.S comes out of adsorption tower and is collected in a surge vessel.
PSA Nitrogen Gas Plant is provided, if the requirement at the discharge is at higher pressure. Normally our PSA system can provide pressure at discharge to about 6 kg/cm2g but it can be increase up to higher pressure of 150 kg/cm2g based on client's requirement. for this we need additional booster, suction pot and finned cooler after the surge vessel so as to enhanced the pressure up to higher pressure before storage tank. It is most economical to produce 98% pure N2 from PSA Plants. For applications which permit upto 0.5% Oxygen impurity, 99.5% pure N2 is generated by PSA Plants only. However, if carbon molecular sieves quantity is increased, even 99.999% purity nitrogen can be produced from this model. But running cost would be higher in case of higher purity.

Compenents of VPSA Oxygen Generator Air Fan and Vacuum Pump : Air fan provide air source for the whole system. Based on VPSA oxygen generator design condition and customer requirements, fan with proper outlet air pressure is to be provided. Vacuum pump ensures correct system operation and keeps the system in ideal vacuum state, which ensures equipment constantly adsorb nitrogen and produce oxygen.Temperature Regulating System :
Air temperature regulating system is made up of a water cooler and an electric heater. The temperature of air compressed by fan is around 70 deg. Cent , passing the water cooler, its temperature is reduced to meet the requirements of process operation. Then it is sent into the adsorption towers. In winter, the temperature of air is to be increased by the electric heater and reaches the requirements of process operation.

Oxygen Buffer Tank :
Compared with three-tower process, oxygen generator with two towers can not produce consecutive oxygen, therefore, a buffer tank with large volume is needed for stable oxygen output.
Control System :
*  System process is achieved by DOS control system. In this system, valves switches are independently controlled by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Analog signals of test sensors communicate with the main control system through specific communication protocols. Relevant data of specific unit can be sent to main control system and remote control signals of main control system can be accepted by specific unit.*  In order to ensure safe oxygen supply, functions of interlink, protection, alarm, print, record etc can be provided.*  The output variation of oxygen supply can be adjusted by DCS control system. In atmosphere almost 78% is Nitrogen (N2) and near about 21% Oxygen (O2) is there. To get Nitrogen form the air, PSA techniques is used by different industries as per their requirements. Carbon Molecular sieve is core part in the system of Pressure swing adsorption (PSA). As CMS has high affinity and capacity to adsorb the Oxygen molecules it can be used for Nitrogen generation. 
Compressed Air from the Compressor has pressure, and entered in to CMS bed tower. This tower is filled with CMS, which has spongy structure. Also because of special affinity towards the Oxygen molecules, Nitrogen will not be adsorbed by CMS. Thus Nitrogen enriched air can be received as an output. Once this tower and CMS comes to its saturation level, air bypass to second tower. Now second tower will be receiving pressurized air. During this process, previous tower will be act as desorption mode. This can be achieved by releasing pressure. Thus adsorbed Oxygen molecules will be desorbed. This process also carried out by supplying pure Nitrogen gas as a purging. This Adsorption and desorption will give the Nitrogen as an output. During the desorption process Oxygen expelled out so that CMS bed will be ready for the next cycle of adsorption. Thus Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) plays very vital role in the Nitrogen generation process.

Biogas typically refers to a gas produced by the breakdown of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. It is a renewable energy source, like solar and wind energy. Furthermore, biogas can be produced from regionally available raw materials and recycled waste and is environmentally friendly and CO2 neutral. Biogas is produced by the anaerobic digestion or fermentation of biodegradable materials such as manure, sewage, municipal waste, green waste, plant material, and crops. Biogas comprises primarily methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) and may have small amounts of hydrogen sulphide (H2S), moisture and siloxanes. The gases methane, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide (CO) can be combusted or oxidized with oxygen. This energy release allows biogas to be used as a fuel. Biogas can be used as a fuel in any country for any heating purpose, such as cooking. It can also be used in anaerobic digesters where it is typically used in a gas engine to convert the energy in the gas into electricity and heat. Biogas can be compressed, much like natural gas, and used to power motor vehicles. In the UK, for example, biogas is estimated to have the potential to replace around 17% of vehicle fuel. Biogas is a renewable fuel so it qualifies for renewable energy subsidies in some parts of the world. Biogas can also be cleaned and upgraded to natural gas standards when it becomes bio methane.
