Amrutam Pharmaceuticals

Amrutam was founded in 2013 by Ashok Gupta who at the time was practicing as a Distributor for various herbal medicinal products. Mr. Gupta was concerned about the ingredients found in the commercial products which had fewer herbs and more chemicals and preservatives. Consumed in dealing with all sorts of herbal products himself all day, he started to see problems in the way these products were being manufactured by other companies.

Mr. Gupta began by developing one product, the malt. He focused on all-natural, pronounceable ingredients that are actually good for one’s health. He believed in using the right procedures strictly defined in Bhav Prakash Nighantu, he loved the feeling of not only doing something better for his own health, but also for his family’s and close friends.

After overwhelmingly positive feedback, he founded Amrutam and now has expanded into more herbal products for the brain and immunity, general body illnesses to adding on beauty through wellbeing as well as skincare solutions. He developed twenty kinds of malts, with each malt takes three months to be processed and produced in its best form; oils for hair, body and skin diseases; powders, capsules, tablets for various other diseases and health problems.

As he started enjoying the process of playing with the chemistry of natural herbs and the science behind “Health is beauty”, he has also developed a few products like Amrutam Herbal Ubtan (a herbal soap-free facial wash, widely famous in interior Indian households), Herbal hair spa (to cure all sorts of hair complaints and to relax one’s mind), Herbal Shampoo and Herbal Honey.

All of Amrutam products are designed and tested by Ashok and his family. So much thought and care goes into every tiny part of the process.
