The AR series of valve and damper actuators come in two sizes. These actuators drive the load through less than one complete revolution in both directions and stop instantaneously at any point of the stroke. With the addition of a worm gear system the actuators can be used to operate multi-turn valves. The position of the output shaft can be controlled with a 4-20mA controller. For feedback, the actuator is equipped with a potentiometer.

STANDARD FEATURES:

1. These are with line voltage or low voltage motors.
2. In case of single turn actuators, the stroke is fixed at 900, 1600, or 2700 and is also field adjustable.
3. Models for two-position (ON-OFF) control and also for three stage position (min. switches 3) control. Max. Switches 7 nos (H).
4. Spur gear train lubricated permanently.
5. Rated for ambient -400C to +550C.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES:

1. Actuator Speed-Torque: Contact us for Speed-Torque combinations. 
2. Feed Back: Potentiometer of standard 135 Ω or 1.0 kΩ; 1W; 1 Turn.
3. Electronic Positioner: Proportional 4-20mA input signal for positioning.
4. Position Transmitter: The resistance value from Potentiometer is converted to 4-20mA output signal; the external power supply has to be 12 – 36 VDC.
5. Additional Switches: Provision for extra auxiliary cams-switches (maximum of 7 switches. Customized interlocking of the switches is done).
6. Operating voltages: 12, 24, 110, 230VAC.
7. Additional Mechanisms: Output end linkages available.

DEC 1700 series are reversing proportional motors used to operate dampers or valves in Electric Modulating Circuits. Electric actuators are designed to meet the requirement of damper control, valve control applications where it is generally required to drive the load through less than one complete revolution either direction and to stop instantaneously at any point of the stroke. Such devices, sometimes also called as Modulating Motors are extensively used for Air-Conditioning, Boiler applications.

FEATURES:

1. These are with line voltage or low voltage motors.
2. With single turn actuators, the stroke is fixed at 900, 1600, or 2700 and is also field adjustable.
3. Models for two-position (ON-OFF) control, fitted with feed back potentiometer and proportional controller with 4-20mA.
4. Rated for ambient -400C to +550C.
5. Available with internal cam adjusted auxiliary switches.

CONSTRUCTION:

Actuator type DEC-1700 consists of a reversible servomotor connected to the output shaft of the device through a series of precision hobbed gears. The gear train is sealed with high grade and high temperature stable grease, thereby ensuring permanent lubrication. Cam operated limit switches stop rotation of the output shaft at predetermined CW and CCW limit of travel. The stroke angle is factory set but can also be altered in field. Thus, by supplying power at the proper terminals, the output shaft can be positioned anywhere within the set stroke angle.
The actuator types DEC-1701 & 1703 are similar to DEC-1700 in all respect, but have additional in built feedback potentiometer. While DEC-1701 has a Wire Wound pot.; DEC-1703 has one or two nos. of Slide Wire pot. With DEC-1702, the actuator can be run with the Electronic Positioner of 4-20mA input signal; while DEC-1706, can position the actuator shaft with Potentiometric Control of 0 to 135Ω input signal. DEC-1704 model is fitted with a Position Transmitter generating 4-20 mA output signal. DEC-1705 accepts input signal of 4-20mA to position the O/P shaft and also sends feed back potentiometric output signal. DEC-1707 is a combination of two actuators DEC-1702 & DEC-1704. Also auxiliary cam operated micro switches can be fitted internally in all the types, as an optional feature for ON-OFF control of pumps, solenoid valves, fans etc.

This type of our rotary actuator compared to the AR4 type is compact in size. It consists of our Geared Servo Motor (GSM) along with suitable reduction gear box. The motor is 230 (or 115) V AC, 50Hz, 1Φ or 3. The motor is compact, quickly reversible and is impedance protected to withstand continuous overload of locked rotor condition. The gears are hobbed in-house and assembled selectively for extended performance. For less than a revolution, the unit can be fitted with limit switches (field adjustable) for extreme ends cut off; for continuous rotation the switch/cam/potentiometer are absent.

APM-VAM or APM-VAO is reversible geared motors used to operate dampers or valves in Electric Modulating Circuits. These electric actuators are designed to meet the requirement of damper control, valve control applications where it is generally required to drive the load through less than one complete revolution either direction and to stop instantaneously at any point of the stroke. Such devices, sometimes also called as Modulating Motors are extensively used for HVAC, Valve, Boiler Damper applications. The VAM series comes with manual movement, while VAO is without manual adjustment option. These are for the heavy duty application where the torque is a maximum of 2000 Kg-cm at a speed of 0.2 RPM.

CONSTRUCTION:

These actuators consist of our reversible, continuous duty (S1) four-pole motor, of 90 Watts connected to the output shaft of the unit through a series of precision hobbed gears. The motor is IP 40. The gear train is sealed with high grade and high temperature stable grease, thereby ensuring permanent lubrication. Cam operated limit switches stop rotation of the output shaft at predetermined CW and ACW limit of travel. The stroke angle is factory set but can also be altered at field.

FEATURES:

1. Stroke is fixed at 900, 1600, or 2700 and is also field adjustable. (Multi-turn can also be provided).
2. Models can also be fitted with potentiometer for feed back and proportional 4-20mA control in conjunction with extended control.
3. Available with internal cam adjusted auxiliary switches.
4. Electro-magnetic brake can also be provided for instantaneous stop and prevent any back drive from the valve.
5. The motor winding has thermal switches to prevent burn out when over heated. The motor starts again only when it is cooled.
