The combination of cefixime and clavulanic acid (-lactamase inhibitor) provides a solution for treatment of bacterial infections caused by beta lactam resistant pathogens. Cefixime-Clav is indicated for the treatment of: Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections caused by Escherichia coli and Proteus mirabilis.

USES:
Cefixime + Potassium Clavulanate is a combination of two medicinal products: Cefixime and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefixime is an antibiotic, you know. It works by preventing the formation of a bacterial protective cover that is essential for the survival of the bacteria. Potassium Clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Cefixime against bacteria.
