Rotary vacuum dryer is a horizontal cylindrical jacketed shell with hollow agitator, rotating in close clearance.

A batch operation, drying is done under vacuum, heating is through jacket. The dryer offers a simple but effective method of drying wet cakes and sometimes slurries.

Drum drying is a method used for drying out liquids from raw materials with a drying drum. In the drum-drying process, pureed raw ingredients are dried at relatively low temperatures over rotating, high-capacity drums that produce sheets of drum-dried product. This product is milled to a finished flake or powder form. Modern drum drying techniques results in dried ingredients which reconstitute immediately and retain much of their original flavor, color and nutritional value.

Rotary Vacuum Paddle Dryer is used to obtain dry powder from wet cake or solutions. It is a system in which steam/hot water is used as a heating medium in the jacket, in the hollow paddle & shaft. Dust collector, condenser, receiver and vacuum pump are also the part of the system.

The agitation is continuous by means of heated rotating paddles and minimum clearance is kept between scrapers and heated walls which provides an efficient heat transfer from the wet feed to dry state. This results in the solvent/moisture evaporation and converts the wet material dry, to the required proportion. The vapors formed are removed by vacuum. Absence of large air flows virtually eliminates dust problems and also the energy consumption remains low.
