Why we get stretchmarks?
Stretch Marks are usually caused when there is too much of stretching of skin in too short a time. Common examples are exercise, pregnancy, sudden weight gain. Your skin doesn't cope up with growth of your fat or muscles. Young stretchmarks are red, painful, tense and itchy. Later they become wrinkled and dark. Many stretchmarks remain lighter than skin.
Many times certain medications can cause stretchmarks. steroid creams, oral steroid tablets or injections, thyroid abnormality and certain hormone disturbances are responsible.
Can be stretchmarks cured?
No. Stretchmarks are a kind of scar and scars are permanant. but they can definitely be modified to match to surrounding skin.

What is Accent ?

How is Accent treatment performed ?
Our Doctor will check your medical history and discuss the treatment plan, expectations and desired results. He will examine your body and mark your areas which require treatment. A freehand, dynamic (rubbing) technique is employed using the unipolar handpiece enabling rapid, safe and effective treatment. The Accent handpiece heats the deeper fatty areas of the skin. Heating the skin results in contraction and improvement in skin tightening. The Accent slowly increases the temperature of the targeted area.
