Coco monoethanol amide (CMEA) is a waxy, nonionic, non-crystalline, ultra-mild surfactant. It's derived from coconut oil and monoethanolamine (MEA).
CMEA is often used as a foam booster, viscosity builder, emulsifying agent, and/or in pH sensitive formulations. It's commonly found in cosmetics, personal care products, and toiletries.
In cosmetics and personal care products, CMEA is used in the formulation of bath soaps and shampoo. It increases foaming capacity and/or stabilizes foam. It can also be used to change the structure of foam resulting in richer and denser foam.
A one percent aqueous solution of CMEA forms a solution with a pH value in between 9 to 10.5 that makes it alkaline in nature.

The compound is manufactured by several methods, the principal one being the acetone cyanohydrin (ACH) route. ACH is produced by condensation of acetone and cyanide. The cyanohydrin is hydrolyzed in the presence of sulfuric acid to a sulfate ester of the methacrylamide, Methanolysis of this ester gives ammonium bisulfate and MMA. Although widely used, the ACH route coproduces substantial amounts of ammonium sulfate.

Sodium Sulphite (Na2 So3) is a white crystal powder or granule that tastes salty with sulphur odor. Sodium Sulphite is used as an antichlor in water treatment and desalination plants; in the reduction of wastewater in chrome-plating industry; as a preservative in the manufacture of (TNT); as a bleaching agent and for scrubbing sulphur dioxide gas in pulp mills in power plants and for leather treatment. It is also used as an oxygen scavenger in low-pressure boilers and in the manufacture of detergent, sodium thiosulphate and photographic chemicals. Also it is used in several other applications as Ore Flotation, Oil Recovery, Food preservatives, Iron exchange, Fire controller, Pesticides, in making Dyes Detergents and in Textile Industries.

Potassium Meta Bi Sulphite, K2S2O5, also known as potassium pyrosulfite, is a white crystalline powder with a pungent sulfur odour. The main use for the chemical is as an antioxidant or chemical sterilant. It is a disulfite and is chemically very similar to Sodium Meta Bi Sulphite, with which it is sometimes used interchangeably.
