Tapioca Starch is obtained from root called "Tapioca". It carries high viscosity and can be modified to suit by physical changing or chemically treating and modifying its characteristic with respect to its strength, binding characters in different industries as per its need.
Tapioca Starch is used as a thickening and diluting agent, as a bonding catalyst and as filler. It is used in both food & non-food industries. Tapioca Starch can be converted into various forms of modified starches to serve certain purpose for which Native Corn Starch will not be of much use.
Dextrin’s are prepared by roasting starch in the presence of acid, which chemically changes the character and properties of starch. They are intermediate between starch and sugars derived from starch. They are starch converted products, which find applications in dyes, adhesives, foundries and other industries.
Unlike starch, Dextrins are soluble in water. The severity of the heat and acid treatment determines the degree of solubility, which is the basis for classifying or grading Dextrin’s. Finished Dextrin’s are very fine, powder varying in colour from pure white to light yellow.
modified starch products are made from native starch by synthetatic process. These are used in paper industry as binder, in food product as emulsifier, thickening agent or stabilizer. These are modified to enhance performance in different applications.
thin boiling chemical starch is suitable for sizing and finishing operations in textile industry.
low viscosity modified starch is ideally suitable for surface sizing and coating of quality papers.
modified starch powder is used to improve strength properties of kraft paper/duplex board.
cationic wet end starch is used in paper & paper board manufacturing to increase its internal strength properties as well as retention of fillers & fines.
pharma modified starch is a fine white powder, odourless, taste slight and characteristic and microbiologically suitable as pharmaceutical grade, useful in pharmaceutical and food industry as a binder, thickener, disintegrating agents in tableting and various formulations.
additive modified starch is used as an additive for coating and surface sizing by textile manufacturers.
cold water soluble starch is a multipurpose adhesive for seaming, cross pasting, bottoming and corrugated carton boxes.
viscosity modified starch is ideally suitable for surface sizing and coating of quality papers.
corn starch based product is used for efficient sizing of cotton and cotton blended yarns for better performance on high speed modern shuttle less looms which eliminates or reduces the usage of synthetic polymers such as pva, polyester resins etc. In large proportion.
Starch-based adhesives are made from natural polymers derived from roots, tubers and seeds of higher plants such as maize, potatoes, wheat, rice and tapioca. Starchbased adhesive is either cold or warm water-soluble depending on the application.
