The Ambu Airway Management Trainer is for teaching Intubation techniques with all known tubes and supraglottic airway devices.

The left side of the head is open, permitting supervision of the student's performance. The walls of the pharynx and trachea are transparent, enabling the student to follow the tube down the throat. Acoustic signals triggered by excess pressure on the teeth help the student to correct mistakes. If desired, signal sensitivity can be adjusted. Intubation difficulty can be adjusted so that different patient types can be simulated.

The Ambu Airway Management Trainer is designed to train all modern airway management techniques.This makes it possible to train the placement of Orotracheal tubes, Laryngeal Masks, Combitube^™, Nasotracheal tubes, Nasopharyngeal tubes, Endotracheal tubes and Guedel airways.

The Ambu Airway Management Trainer is easy to clean and can be easy be maintained. All parts can easy be accessed without the need of tools.

The Ambu Airway Management Trainer gives an accurate simulation of mouth, nostrils, teeth, tongue, pharynx, larynx, epiglottis, vocal cords, trachea, oesophagus and lungs. Realistic lifting and tilting of head gives you the right feel. It has a realistic movement of the head, cervical spine and jaw simulate relevant anatomical changes during intubation.

The Ambu Airway Management Trainer has also included an electronically tooth sensor that indicates when too much force is applied to the upper teeth.

It is recommended to use the following sizes when training with the Airway Management Trainer:

AMBU^® MAN BASIC

The AmbuMan Basic is a cost efficient training manikin that is designed to fulfill all requirements for the BLS algorithm training.

The closed shaped torso with its anatomical correct landmarks allows trainees to learn and train the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED) and the placements of pads.

The AmbuMan Basic allows an optimal training of chest compression in combination with realistic ventilation. The unique hygienic system prevents cross contamination. It allows a realistic ventilation resistance and expiration through mouth and nose.

The correct compression depth and required ventilation volume can be monitored by the feedback indicator on the manikin.

The AmbuMan Basic is also available as 4 Pack to enable group training.

The AmbuMan® Defib combines the basic function of AmbuMan Wireless with the additional option for early defibrillation. The AmbuMan Defib Wireless is equipped with the proven and patented Ambu hygienic system to avoid cross-contamination.

Ambu Manikin Management Modules
The core is the AmbuMan with the latest, integrated Ambu Wireless Technology. The browser-based Ambu Manikin Management Module allows the wireless control, documentation and monitoring of the performance of the trainees. The Ambu Manikin Management Module is the central inter-face, where all data and information come together: compression depth, correct hand position, ventilation volume, stomach inflation.

Defibrillation and ECG
The apex and sternum electrodes can be defibrillated with up to 360 joules. By using the appropriate adapters, manual and automatic biphasic defibrillators from various manufacturers can be connected.

Monitoring Instrument
The indicator shows the instructor, the volume of supplied air (in L) and the chest compression depth (in mm). Furthermore it visualizes the compression with wrong hand position and a gastric inflation with a warning symbol.

Carotid Pulse
The carotid pulse can be felt during chest compression and also can be simulated by a manual pulse bellow.

AMBU® CARDIAC CARE TRAINER SYSTEM

The Ambu Cardiac Care Trainer System W (Wireless) is an advanced instruction- and training manikin that has been designed for training Advanced Life Support in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) algorithms and teamwork, either indoors or on location in field situations.

The Ambu Cardiac Care Trainer has a special intubation head that allows trainees to practice the oral intubation using modern airway management devices like ET tubes, Laryngeal mask and Combitube^™.

Realistic defibrillation up to 400 joule can be taught and practiced. The Defib Trainer W offers comes with 3-4 lead ECG. The CPR Software is part of the wireless system in the Defib Trainer W. The CPR Software analyses and displays the performance done on the manikin in real time. In addition the CPR Software can display and control the ECG. The virtual ECG provides 26 rhythms and 2 artefacts and can automatically detect defibrillation.

The Ambu Cardiac Care Trainer W does not need cables and wires. Which means it can be placed in realistic surroundings away from computers and power supplies. This gives a great amount of freedom during training and because there are no wires or cables lying around it gives an even more realistic scenario.

The manikin is also equipped with a mechanical monitoring instrument showing effectiveness of the resuscitation, including results achieved for ventilation volume and depth of external chest compression. Moreover it indicates any stomach inflation and incorrect hand positioning.

The airway of all manikins open only when head is correctly hyper extended.

To create more variance in the training, the stiffness of the chest can be changed and adjusted with just one screw.

Look - Listen - Feel. Just as in real life, ventilation can be seen and natural exhalation through the nose and mouth can be felt and heard. The head can be both rotated and extended but the airway opens only in the correct (sniff) position.
