The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was started an undergraduate programme (B.E.CSE) in the academic year 2010-2011 with an intake of 60 students. Now, it is increased to 120 from the academic year 2013 -14.The Post graduate programme M.E. Computer Science & Engineering was started in the year 2012 with an intake of 18 Students. The Department is approved by AICTE, and Affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
M.E. Computer Science and EngineeringThis course is concerned with all aspects – theoretical and practical – of the nature, specification, realization and evaluation of computer hardware and systems. It embraces subject areas such as software engineering, hardware,architecture and design, information systems, communications, etc. The course covers architecture, operation and performance of computers and their functional units, the underlying issues and hardware/software interactions in parallel, concurrent and real-time systems. The course includes lectures, workshops, lab sessions, extensive use of Internet and our e-learning support environment.The curriculum is so balanced, that they are well-placed in software industries in India and abroad very easily. They have job potential in Computer Networks, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics companies both in India and abroad.
OverviewThe Computer Science and Engineering is the study of Computers, their design which is used for computation and system control including design and development of computer hardware and software programming. The field encompasses computational theory, mathematical activities such as design and analysis of algorithms, performance studies of systems and their components.
