Generally, if you buy a stock today the payout is received from exchanges on T +2 day (T being the Trade Date) and the same is credited to your demat account. Hence you can sell the shares only after T+2 day. Under BTST facility, we allow our customers to sell shares on the very next day of purchase i.e., even before the shares are credited to their demat account.

By using this option you shall never miss out any profit making opportunity. You need to sell the stock in the same exchange in which you have purchased. Please note that while the client can sell any stocks purchased on T day, the loss on account of auction will have to be borne by the client for any possible reason. This may primarily occur if the delivery of the shares that you have purchased on T day is not received from exchange within time.
