Objectives

To educate, train and develop highly qualified Engineers capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly changing manufacturing system and capable of handling other diverse issues in Mechanical Engineering.

Faculty

The Department has well qualified and experienced faculty members with specialization in various fields like Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Manufacturing and CAD/CAM Engineering.

Infrastructure

Spread over an area of 2,655 sq. ft. the department at SRC houses the carpentry shop, Fitting shop, Sheet metal works, Foundry, Smithy and Welding shops. Auto CAD software is being used by the students for design purposes.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering established in 2002 offers the following academic programmes:

1. B.Tech. (Computer Science and Engineering)
2. B.Tech. (Information Technology)
3. Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
4. Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
5. M.Sc. (Computer Science) Computer subjects form one of the two majors in all double major courses of B.Sc., programme. Further, computer subjects have been included in the syllabi of B.Com. B.B.A. and M.Sc. programmes.

• Provide intellectual inputs to knowledge based industries in the form of qualified and trained manpower
• Create facilities of training and research in new thrust areas of computing for promoting continuing education facilities
• Offer quality education through linkages with Industry and research organizations by offering need based courses.
• Promote education R&D for societal and rural development

Faculty

Well-experienced faculty members with rich Industrial, Research and Academic background form the intellectual backbone of this department. Faculty members are specialized in Network Security, Mobile Computing, Data warehousing and mining, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Computational Intelligence, Image Processing and Software Engineering.

Infrastructure

Three fully furnished and air-conditioned computer laboratories occupying an area of 8062 sq.ft. houses over 415 computers with state-of-the-art hardware and software running on WINDOWS 2003 Domain Server, WINDOWS 2003 Database Server, Redhat Linux Enterprise Server, Thin Client for Internet and Novell Netware 6.5 Server with Symantec End Point Corporate Edition 11 Software. The Laboratory is designed with Structured Cabling, implementing Star Network Topology using high-speed switches and equipped with a bandwidth of 50 Mbps for Internet.

To educate, train and develop highly skilled Civil Engineers at all levels capable of designing, constructing and maintaining environmental-friendly structures.

Faculty

This department has qualified and experienced faculty members with specializations in Structural Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Traffic and Transportation Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management and Geo Technical Engineering.

Practical Orientation

Visits to industries, construction sites and environmental field - visits are arranged regularly to impart technical education to the students more effectively.

Infrastructure

The department houses Engineering Drawing Hall and caters to the requirements of the I year of the B.Tech programme in engineering. Software such as Auto CAD, Primavera, STAAD PRO are at hand to train the engineers in the latest trends.
