He shouldered the responsibility of Kasegaon Education Society. Shri Jayant Patil took the Society with time, diversifying its educational facilities. Today the Society has 31 primary & secondary schools and 11 higher educational institutes under its umbrella. This includes three arts, commerce & science colleges, three information technology institutes, an engineering college, two management institute, a nursing institute and a pharmacy college.
The Society has been conferred with prestigious awards like ‘Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Dalitmitra Sanstha Purskar’, ‘State Award for Educational Institutes’. Certificates of appreciation have also been awarded to the Society by C-DAC & MKCL for its exemplary contribution towards computer literacy.

CAD/CAM/CAE CENTRE

CAD/CAM/CAE CENTRE
CAD/CAM/CAE centre is established by the institute under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Prgramme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The centre is established to conduct the skill based short term courses in the field of CAD/CAM/CAE Product Design & Development to the students of the technical institutes from Shivaji University.
IntroductionIn order to survive in the today's competitive market entrepreneur need to ensure that their products get designed and manufactured in the minimum possible time, and in the lowest possible cost, without compromising on the quality aspect. Therefore design, engineering and production department must work together in an integrated fashion. The advent of CAD/CAM/CAE has paved the way for highly flexible, accurate, fast and integrated approach for creating and manufacturing products and its components.
Recent global survey indicates that only 25% of engineering graduates in India is really employable. Therefore in order to improve the employability of the students, Institute has established CAD/CAM/CAE Centre equipped with latest software and hardware with total investment of above Rs. 1.5 crore.
Present TrendPresently students wait till the completion of their graduation and then go to Pune or Bangalore to do the CAD/CAM courses. In this way they lose around 1 year of valuable time, minimum Rs.10,000/- as fee for every software, accommodation and food and other expenses. Secondly as this courses are skill based just going though the training course and possessing a certificate is not sufficient. One has to do lot of practice before he/she may be eligible to be recruited by the Industries as CAD/CAM Engineer. Therefore it is always better to do such courses before you complete the degree course and do lot of practice so that by the time you pass out, you will be ready to work as CAD/CAM engineer.

Quality Circles

Quality Circles is another activity as old as the Institute. It has constantly supported our academic administration. It started with activities like induction training of faculty and orientation of freshers. It went identifying its form to strengthen academic process. RIT being an institutional member of the ‘Quality Circle Forum of India’, is known for its innovative ideas for quality circle activities in educational institute. Quality circles in RIT have fetched many prizes in state and national level presentations. Recently, a quality circle of RIT received Gold Medal for Case Study Presentation at International Convention on Quality Control Circles at Bejing, China.

Counseling

The counseling cell is constantly experimenting quite sensitively on - what do students need and where do they fall short. It focuses on chronic failures as well as chances of getting converted in habitual failures among students need and where do they fall short. It focuses on chronic failures as well as chances of getting converted in habitual failures among students. It has come out with good successes thus giving valuable inputs to our academic planning and implementation process.

Monitoring

RIT has some special activities which have taken it to a height that puts even educationalists in surprise.RIT has a strong monitoring cell that looks after monthly review of the lectures/practicals planned and conducted for every class. It ensures that parents receive the monthly attendance reports of their wards. This makes it possible to take all necessary steps to correct the lags and loopholes in the fast progressing semester.

FE Activities

A lot of apprehension is underlying the apparent enthusiasm when an engineering student enters the campus. He finds himself in an entirely new atmosphere undergoing quite a different kind of education and learning experience. This challenge becomes more grievous for him when he hears the alarm of the first university examination. This puts in tremendous stress and his hopes start withering.
RIT takes special care in this regard. The first day is characterised by a warm welcome with a complete but gentle orientation programme. He needs to go nowhere for collecting his roll number or time-table. This relieves him from the first phase of apprehension and he feels quite confident.
In the first month, we plan no extra activities for he need some time to get tuned with the academic environment. We plan special sessions to address some genuine problems that they face: ‘How to use calculator?’ , ‘Preparing for the first university examination’ , ‘In the examine-action hall’. These programmes make him quite comfortable and he feels well-equipped for his take off.

Research & Development

Research and Development cell has been established in the Institute in order to move towards academic excellence thus elevating the academic standards of the Institute. The following areas are identified as research areas in various departments
  1. Alternative Fuel and Emission
  2. Automotive testing
  3. VLSI
  4. Embedded Technology
