IACT conducts examinations on various skill areas on a regular basis and certifies individuals across the globe. IACT examination for most skill areas has close to 50 questions and takes about one hour to complete. There are no negative marks and all questions are graded equally.

At the end of the exam the score is communicated to the candidate and a hard copy certificate is mailed provided the candidate has scored over 40 percent marks. In case the candidate does not pass the exam, there is a provision to take a re-exam. For those candidates who pass the exam, a certificate is couriered within 1 week of completion of the exam. If the candidate is able to score 80% or more in the exam, then a certificate of "Distinction" is provided.
Certification is an independent service of IACT and candidates can take the certification even if they have not taken the training program.

IACT delivers training through its study centres. There are training coordinators who are available for guidance and training support. Candidates typically complete these programs at a study centre in a short time frame (2-5 days for most programs) but have access to the learning material over the Internet for a longer period to allow them to revisit the program again before taking the online examination.
Once the candidates have completed their training, they can take the examination required for certification.
