An irrigation sprinkler is a device that applies water to land in a controlled, rainfall-like manner, using a system of pipes, pumps, and nozzles to spray water into the air over crops, lawns, or landscapes for efficient, uniform coverage, saving water and labor compared to traditional methods, and adaptable for various terrains and high-density planting. 
How it Works:
Pumping: A pump draws water from a source and pressurizes it.
Distribution: Pressurized water travels through a network of mainlines, sub-mainlines, and lateral pipes.
Spraying: At the end of the pipes, sprinklers (nozzles) break the water into fine droplets, spraying it over the area. 
Key Components:
Pump Unit: Creates pressure.
Piping: Main, sub-main, and lateral lines to carry water.
Sprinklers/Spray Heads: Devices that distribute water as droplets.
