Treatment Purpose
Used to treat chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in patients who have had an insufficient response to other treatments like corticosteroids or splenectomy.

Mechanism of Action
Romiplostim is a thrombopoietin receptor agonist, which stimulates the bone marrow to produce more platelets, reducing the risk of bleeding.

Dosage & Administration
Supplied as a lyophilized powder with solvent; it is reconstituted and administered subcutaneously, typically once weekly under healthcare supervision.

Monitoring & Safety
Platelet counts must be regularly monitored. Possible side effects include headache, fatigue, joint pain, or risk of thromboembolic events.

Broad-Spectrum Antibiotic Combination
This injection combines Ceftazidime (2 g), a third-generation cephalosporin, with Avibactam (0.5 g), a β-lactamase inhibitor, to fight multidrug-resistant Gram-negative infections.

Used for Serious Infections
Indicated for complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs), intra-abdominal infections (cIAIs), and hospital-acquired/ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia (HABP/VABP).

Intravenous Use
Administered as an IV infusion over 2 hours, usually every 8 hours. The dosage may vary based on renal function and clinical severity.
Effective Against Resistant Bacteria

Avibactam enhances the efficacy of ceftazidime by inhibiting resistance enzymes like ESBL, AmpC, and KPC, making the combination effective against many resistant organisms.

Subcutaneous Injection
