Details:
The typical ICU must be able to cope with any combination of patient and clinical situations at all times. SERVO-i® features all the ventilator modes you would expect from an advanced ventilation system, with a number of competitive features.
Enhanced interaction
SERVO-i enhances interaction between the patient and the ventilator by offering unprecedented levels of speed in sensing and control. It further provides clinicians with proper tools to evaluate the impact of your ventilatory strategy, both over time and during the critical phase associated with interventions.
Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA)
NAVA® is a unique approach to mechanical ventilation as it listens to the patient’s own respiratory signal. With NAVA, the electrical activity of the diaphragm (Edi) is captured, fed to the ventilator and used to assist the patient’s breathing, with improved synchrony and in proportion to the patient’s own efforts.1 Research has also shown that patients on NAVA benefit from an improved sleep quality, which may reduce sedation.
Edi signal
The Edi signal is a diagnostic tool that monitors the electrical activity of the diaphragm (Edi). This provides useful information on respiratory drive, volume requirements and the effect of your ventilatory settings, information that supports your decision for intubation or extubation.
AUTOMODE
Depending on your ventilator needs and the patient groups you treat, the ventilator also offers the following features:
- Invasive ventilation
- Non-invasive ventilation with leakage compensation
- CO2 Analyzer for end tidal carbon dioxide measurement that may give important insight into the efficiency of the ventilation.
- Y sensor measurement, for neonatal/pediatric and adult patients. Enables measurement of pressure and flow as close to the patient’s airway as possible.
- Nasal CPAP
- Heliox - gives a more laminar flow that reduces work of breathing
- Stress Index - will monitor hyperinflation or repeated alveolar collapse, thus allowing the identification of injurious ventilation (VILI).

A single ventilator to treat every patient, everywhere
Servo-i delivers a high level of clinical performance for a variety of situations and for all patients. This helps clinicians provide cost-effective care throughout the hospital.
Personalized Ventilation
Servo ventilators equipped with NAVA can display your patient's diaphragm activity on screen, so you can improve patient-ventilator synchrony and comfort. This can lead to reduced need for sedation, fewer complications and shorter weaning periods.
A complete spectrum of treatment opportunities
Servo-i features all the modes you would expect from an advanced ventilation system in one adaptable platform. It also presents a wide range of tools to help you stabilize your patient and wean them off the ventilator.
Stress Index
Stress Index can help the clinician detect and prevent harmful ventilatory patterns, such as barotrauma, i.e. overdistension of the airways and lungs.
Open Lung Tool
The Open Lung Tool makes it easier to assess recruitment efficacy. On-screen values, such as dynamic compliance, assists you during lung recruitment and PEEP titration.
Heliox
Heliox minimizes turbulence and improves CO2 elimination. Easing the work of breathing for patients from neonate to adult. It can be used in all modes of ventilation.
Automode
Automode helps your patients' transition into spontaneous breathing with less need for staff intervention. It is an interactive mode that switches between controlled and supported ventilation conditional to patient effort.
On-screen diaphragm EMG
The electrical activity of the diaphragm (Edi) shows you the patient's breathing effort, breath by breath. It helps you titrate sedation and identify the best level of support at all times and during any mode of ventilation.
NAVA and NIV NAVA
Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA) promotes lung protective spontaneous breathing with higher diaphragmatic efficiency, and fewer periods of over- and under-assist. This can help you reduce sedation with higher comfort scores and improved sleep quality.
MR Conditional
Servo-i MR provides continuity of care for critically ill patients throughout the MR process. Full trigger sensitivity and a range of ventilation options are available for use with all patient categories.
HBO Conditional
Servo-i HBO can provide ICU-quality ventilation in the hyperbaric chamber. It has full monitoring capabilities and delivers ventilation down to a depth of 30 meters. It is available for all patient categories.
Ensure maximum uptime
Optimizing your equipment's services is often an untapped opportunity to maximize productivity and reduce costs. Our Getinge Care service offering will ensure that your equipment always perform at peak levels allowing you to focus on what’s important - saving lives.
High quality consumables
We offer an extensive range of readily available consumables designed with patient safety and ease of use in mind- all to help secure your everyday operations.
Patient data at your fingertips
MSync helps you to connect your Servo fleet to your patient monitor, HIS or patient data management system (PDMS). Clinical and patient data is transferred in real time to support clinical decision-making.

- Menu-free navigation
- Measuring Functional Residual Capacity
Application
- Emergency Care & ICU
Featuring expert user tools and an innovative user interface, the Carescape R860 is inherently familiar the first time you use it.
Navigating past, present and future states of your ventilated patients is the foundation of the Carescape R860 user interface. From the center workspace view that highlights current patient status, you can swipe left to right to navigate from historical trends on the left (past) to Clinical Decision Support tools on the right (future). Your settings are recalled even as you navigate across workspaces.
By replacing menus with workspace views, the Carescape R860 has flattened the learning curve and unlocked ventilation capabilities by making them more accessible and easier to use.
