  1. Prepare the mixture: Heat and mix your lipstick base ingredients (waxes and oils) until they are fully melted.
  2. Lubricate the mould: Apply a very thin layer of a light oil, such as sweet almond or canola oil, to the inside of the mould cavities.
  3. Pour the mixture: Carefully pour the hot, melted lipstick mixture into each mould cavity. Pour slightly over the top to ensure the mould is completely filled.
  4. Cool and set: Place the entire mould in a refrigerator or freezer for 10 to 30 minutes to allow the lipstick to solidify. Some molds will contract when chilled, making demolding easier.
  5. Scrape and demold: Once set, use a small spatula or blade to scrape away the excess mixture from the top of the mould.
  6. Insert into tubes: Push the lipstick tube all the way up, press it gently and firmly onto the lipstick bullet, and then pull it out of the mould.
