Voltage levels in AC can be changed much easier than in case of DC and with much more efficiency, it was one of the deciding factors in war of Currents between Edison and Tesla. The XL4005 Power supply module is based on the XL4005 Dc-Dc converter IC. The module can step-down and regulate a voltage from 0.8V to 32V based on the position of the potentiometer. The Potentiometer used here is a 25-turn potentiometer that provides easy adjustment of the output of the module to exactly the voltage application needs. The XL4016 with Display Power supply module is based on the XL4016 Dc-Dc buck converter IC. The module can step-down and regulate a voltage from 1.25V to 36V based on the position of the potentiometer. It has a 7-segment display to get the information of output voltage. The maximum output current can go as high as 8A maximum when used in open air or with Fan. It is suitable to power heavy loads upto maximum of 200W.

It works with fixed 180 kHz frequency and the efficiency is quite high as 94% in normal operations below 5A of Output current. It has a built-in current limit feature along with the thermal shutdown is also available in this module. The MT3608 DC Voltage Regulator is based on the MT3608 Dc-Dc converter IC. The module can step-up and regulate a voltage from 2V to 24V based on the position of the potentiometer. The Potentiometer used here is a multi-turn potentiometer that provides easy adjustment of the output of the module to exactly the voltage application needs. The maximum output current can go as high as 2A making it suitable to power different circuits that need input from a battery but are unable due to the low battery voltage. 

DC power controllers are required when we are using any DC equipment like mobile battery charger, small DC motors, DC lighting circuits, etc applications. In case of battery chargers almost all of mobile phones charges at 5V DC power supply and the charger brick that comes with them is well and good if the wall socket has power in it but if you want to charge an electronic device which need 5V, using a lithium ion battery which has a nominal voltage of 3.3V, or if you want to charge with AAA batteries, you will need this DC-DC Boost Module which can boost the DC input coming from the battery to 5V as needed by the device to charge. It works with the battery voltage as low as 0.9V making it a perfect solution for this case. It also has LED indicators for determining whether it is working or not and the battery input voltage. It does not have a short circuit protection so you will have to use your lithium ion battery with its own protection circuit.
