The KY-027 Magic Light Cup Module is an intriguing board that combines a LED with a mercury tilt switch to create a visually engaging effect. Utilizing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), the module drives the LED to produce a light transfer effect when the board is tilted. This effect occurs because of the interaction between the two main components: the mercury tilt switch and the LED.

When the module is tilted, the mercury inside a small tube shifts, connecting the circuit and turning the LED on. Tilting it in the opposite direction moves the mercury away from the connection point, thus turning the LED off. This on-off action creates a magical illusion of light movement.
