Crane Buildings Construction Services

Era Buildsys is custom designed to meet your exact requirements. The basic parameters that define pre-engineered buildings are:

Building Width: The building width is defined as the distance from outside of eave strut of the sidewall to outside of eave strut of the opposite sidewall.

Building Length:The distance between the outside flanges of end-wall columns in opposite end walls is considered the building length. Building length is combination of several bay lengths. End bay length is the distance from outside of the outer flange of end-wall columns of center line of the first interior frame columns. Interior bay length is the distance between the center lines of two adjacent interior main frame columns. The most economical bay lengths are 6m or 7.5m. Any bay length up to 15m is possible.

Building Height: Building height is the eave height which usually is the distance from the bottom of the main frame column base plate to the top outer point of the eave strut. When columns are recessed or elevated from finished floor, eave height is the distance from finished floor; eave height is the distance from finished floor level to top of eave strut.

Roof Slope(x/10):
This is the angle of the roof with respect to the horizontal. The most common roof slope is 1/10. Any practical roof slope is possible

Design Loads: Unless otherwise specified pre-engineered buildings are designed for the following minimum loads:

Roof Live Loads: 0.57 or 0.75kN/m2 design for snow loads, seismic loads, collateral loads, or any other local climatic condition (if required) must be specified at time of quotation. Loads are applied in accordance with the latest Indian/American codes and standards applicable to pre-engineered buildings unless otherwise requested at the time of quotation.

Design Wind Speed: As per IS: 875 for location.

Roofing & Rafter System Construction Services

Roof & Wall Cladding Single Skin Insulated Construction: Single skin Insulated roof and wall construction comprises of roof and wall cladding and metal building roof insulation used underneath the cladding as underdeck insulation. The metal building insulation is rolled over the purlins or girts and the external cladding. HI-rib*/ExtraHi-rib*/Clipon* sheeting are then fixed to the secondary framing through the insulation. Only the vapour barrier is visible from inside the building.

Fixation (Roof/Cladding):Roof/Cladding panel is fixed to the secondary framing by self-drilling steel screws. Screws are supplied with hexhead self EPDM Nylon washing. Screw head is covered with flexible plastic cap. It offers optimal resistance to bad weather and ultra-violet rays.

Sub Girts: Z shape G.I. Girt is used at 1.5MT spacing and fixed over linear sitting

Insulation: If thermal or acoustic properties are required, glasswool insulation is recommended between the underside of the planets and purlins.

Cladding Panels: ERADEK Hi-Rib/ ERADEK Extra Hi-rib*/ Clipon* All the panels are available in Galvalume and galvanised steel substrates and in premium colour coating viz. Architectural Polyseter, Siliconised Polyseter, Siliconised Polyster or Fluoropolymer for permanent appearance. All the roof and wall coverings are supplied with custom accessories such as flashing, cappings, gutters, trims, fasteners etc. formed out of the same substrates and coatings as the roof and wall covering panels.

Primary Frames Construction Services

Primary framing consists of all the structural elements which transfer loads to the foundations.
Primary framing consists of:

  • Intermediate frames
  • Endwall frames
  • Wind bracings
  • Crane brackets
  • Mezzanine beams

CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Intermediate Frames

    Intermediate frames consist of built-up welded primary framing members: These are either C.R.S sections hot-rolled profiles, or built-up wielded profiles. Frames are complemented by flange bracing, connections bolts and anchor bolts. Generally, the base of the intermediate frame is pinned. Certain circumstances demand a fixed base approach.

    Protection

    • Cold formed components are galvanized.
    • Built-up welded primary framing members or hot-rolled elements have the same protection as the intermediate as the intermediate frame.
  • End Wall Frames

    End wall frames consist of either built-up welded hot-rolled or cold-rolled columns which supports a cold formed Z rafter. Frames are complemented by connection bolts, anchor bolts and wind bracing.

Secondary Frames Construction Services

Ball Bearing

Secondary frame consists of the elements which support the roof and wall sheeting and which transfer loads to the primary framing.

Primary framing consists of:

* Roof Purlins
* Wall Girts
* Framing
* Roof Purlins

Purlins are cold-roll formed Z profile, mainly 200 to 250 mm deep out of 1.6 to 2.5 mm thick steel. They are fixed to the rafters of the primary structure and due to the overlaps between the purlins on the rafters, act as continuous beams. Eave purlins can be C profiles or Z profiles. Connections are made using galvanized bolts.

* Wall Grits

Girts are in cold-roll formed in C or Z shape 200 to 250 mm deep out of 2.0 to 3.15 mm thick steel.

There are two types of fixation:

Continuous with overlaps adjacent to the main frame columns, the connection being made using galvanized bolts directly into the column flangs.

Simply supported between the columns, the connection being made using galvanized bolts into the column webs.

The two fixation systems are valid for sidewalls and end walls.

* Framing

Framing essentially consists of C or Z type profiles, produced by cold roll forming.

Mezzanine Systems Construction Services

Ball Bearing

The standard mezzanine framing system consists of a steel deck supported by joists framed onto main mezzanine beams. If required by design loads, the main beams shall also be supported by intermediate columns. The top flange of the joists fit immediately below the top flange of the primary beams.

The economy of a mezzanine system is affected by the applied loads (dead, live and collateral) and mezzanine column spacing. Consult our epresentative for advice on the most economical mezzanine design.

Whenever possible, the primary mezzanine beams should run across the width of the building and be located under the main frame rafters. Joists should run parallel to the roof purlins along to the length of building.

Multi-level mezzanines, interior equipment platforms, catwalks and staircase may also be accommodated if complete design data is available at time of quotation.
