COZARTAN 50 TABLET contains Losartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Angiotensin II receptor antagonists. COZARTAN 50 TABLET is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults and children & adolescents (aged 6-18 years).

It is also used to protect kidney in hypertensive type 2 diabetic patients and is also indicated for use in patients with chronic heart failure when ACE (angiotensin-converting-enzyme inhibitors) medicines becomes ineffective to treat the disease. Before taking COZARTAN 50 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have a history of angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, throat and/or tongue) and/or suffering from excessive vomiting/diarrhoea, primary hyperaldosteronism (a syndrome associated with increased secretion of aldosterone hormone), kidney problems (such as narrowing of blood vessels to one or both the kidneys and/or heart problems (such as heart failure, cardiac arrythmia and coronary heart disease).
