This packaging equipment automates the handling of mini bundles and automatically builds pre-programmed master bundles, effectively reducing the labor of two operators from each roll forming line at production speeds of 500 ft per min and more.

The Samco Master Bundler is located immediately following the roll forming lines, run-out table, and strapping unit.

The operation begins with the line operator programming in the number of mini bundles per layer and the number of layers in each master bundle. After the line operators manually nest the required number of pieces of stuttered track into a mini bundle, the strapping unit bands the mini bundle, preparing it for stacking into a master bundle.

The mini bundles are then transported by a powered roller conveyer to a first stage stacking system, where each layer of the master bundle is compiled. Each layer of mini bundles is squared and straightened for a neat and tidy master bundle. Following completion of the pre-programmed number of layers of the master bundle, it automatically moves to the second stage of the packaging system where the forklift operator applies the necessary banding. The placement of the banding sheets makes this an easy task.

To make replacing a set of roll tooling easy for our customers, we have set up tooling tryout mills on our shop floor. Samco has tryout mills for various sizes of in-house roll tooling. After we make the new roll set, we try it out on our roll former first. When our roll forming equipment is shipped to you, it’s ready to go. It’s important to us that you are only down for the amount of time it takes to get the rolls changed.

To stay competitive in the stud and track industry, you need to be able to manufacture and supply the accessory components that complement your other framing component products. Samco offers a single roll forming line which can produce all of these products – and with the Option of Rapid Change rafting to assist with fast roll tooling changeovers.

You can make corner bead at 300 feet per minute in the morning - and then make furring channel at the same line speed in the afternoon. Most of these products stack nicely and allow many manufacturers to ship their product economically, and sometimes even internationally on a competitive level. So if your market is using furring channel, cornerbeads, construction angle, etc., you can complete your manufacturing facility with a Samco Accessory Roll Forming Line. Some of these products have a knurling embossed into them; some of them have a series of mud/nail holes, so the Samco roll tooling includes a high-speed rotary punch for easy inline punching and easy maintenance.

Samco has developed a uniquely strong version of drywall corner bead called Superbead.  The unique feature of Superbead is that it uses the same material thickness (0.013") but it has a rigidity and strength like no other cornerbead product. Many installers and end users of this product will appreciate the straightness and strength built into each piece of Superbead. These features make corners easier to plaster and sand because of the absence of any of the twist or buckling often experienced with other inferior cornerbeads.

Samco's high speed Superbead roll forming lines can produce this product at over 400 feet per minute, with an automatic stacker for easy material handling. Your customers will clearly prefer Superbead once they’ve held it in their hands and felt the difference. Not only is it noticeably straighter and stronger, your sales people will be able to offer Superbead to your customers at the same price as regular convention cornerbead.

SAMCO guarantees that all equipment manufactured by them will perform as per the quotation for that specific piece of equipment, provided the equipment is properly cared for, as per instruction for Use/Maintenance provided and operated under normal conditions and with competent supervision. Samco agrees to correct and shall have the right to correct by repairs or replacement ---- at its option, at its expense, and Ex Works SAMCO’s facility --- any defects in the equipment which may develop under normal and proper use within twelve (12) months from date of shipment from its plant. All original outside purchased parts including cylinders, bearings, gearboxes, electrical components, HMI’s, will be covered under the original manufacturer’s warranty from time of purchase by SAMCO. SAMCO will not be liable for any damage resulting from improper storage or handling before placing the equipment in operation. Furthermore, SAMCO will not be liable for any expenses incurred for repairs or replacement made outside SAMCO’s facility without prior written consent - or damages arising out of such replacements or repairs or for costs of additional test material or costs relating to delivery delays. Tooling such as rolls, dies, punches and shear blades are wear and tear items and completely subject to operator usage and is therefore NOT covered by any guarantee. Under no conditions will SAMCO be held responsible for any consequential damages.
