WPC certification is an authorization to import and sell wireless wi-fi and bluetooth devices in the Indian Market. WPC stands for Wireless Planning and Coordination License. This is a voluntary license issued by the Radio Planning and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Telecommunications.
The WPC Import License as a whole is an authorization for the import and trade of radio equipment, also known as a Radio Program Coordination License, issued by the Radio Program Coordination Division of the Ministry of Telecommunications. Wireless products in India require a WPC certificate. WPC certificates are also required for importing and selling wireless products.

Validity of the WPC ETA certification:
A WPC ETA license is issued for a specific model and is valid as long as that model is manufactured without any modifications. WPC ETA license renewal is not required.
Step by step procedure to apply WPC certification for bluetooth & wireless wi-fi products:
- Create USER ID & Password on Saral Sanchar Portal
- Generate test request for RF testing
- Submission of application with requisite documents
- Payment of Govt. fee
- Scrutiny of the application by the concerned officer
- Grant of the WPC certification for Bluetooth and wireless wi-fi products.

WPC Equipment Type Approval (ETA) is required before importing wireless devices operating in unlicensed spectrum into India. WPC ETA certificate is also required for all products manufactured in India. EPR Registration for plastic waste is mandatory on plastic packaging used in packaging for the import of machinery, furniture, household products, medical equipment, clothes, chemicals, footwear, toys, electronic products, food products etc.
To ensure the disposal of plastic packaging waste, the Plastic Waste Management Regulations 2016 introduce an Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system. Manufacturers, importers and brand owners are then responsible for ensuring that plastic packaging waste is treated through recycling, reuse or disposal.
PIBO refers to producers, importers, and brand owners. If you identify as a PIBO and carry on a business in India that involves the use of plastic packaging, you are subject to EPR obligations irrespective of your turnover or the size of your business.
India's Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change notified changes to PWM rules on February 16, 2022, providing a wide range of guidelines for plastic waste manufacturers, importers, brand owners (PIBOs) and processors shall comply with extended producer responsibility.

Govt. Fee for EPR Registration for plastic waste for PIBOs:
- Plastic waste generation less than 1000 tonnes per annum(TPA): Rs. 10,000/-
- Plastic waste generation between 1000 to 10000 tonnes per annum(TPA): Rs. 20,000/-
- Plastic waste generation more than 10000 tonnes per annum(TPA): Rs. 50,000/-

Validity of the EPR Registration for plastic waste:
A new registration shall be valid for one year, and a renewed registration shall be valid for three years.

1. Rigid Plastic - bottles, containers, toys, automotive parts etc.
2. Flexible plastic packaging - thin plastic films or sheets, bubble wrap, shrink wrap etc.
3. Multi layered plastic packaging - used for packaging food, medicines etc.
4. Compostable plastic - break down and decompose in organic matter
