Wireless transmitter receiver system is a simple equipment with a transmitter switch and a receiver relay output. Whenever there is contact on the transmitter wires, relay gets energized and connected the common (COM) and no connect (NO) wires internally. This relay unit can eventually be connected to electrical loads and appliances (in series) to control.

Following is the way it works. On 1st contact at the transmitter (using push button), relay turns ON. On 2nd contact the relay disengages and remains off. The transmitter unit is a form of a toggle switch.

The transmitter can be connected any sensor for a contact output as well. The receiver output is a potential free contact. Both transmitter receiver units are wall mount type. The range of communication is 50-100 meters in open line of sight. The system works very well indoors as well. Single channel control.

“Nurse call system code blue” is an innovative solution for our hospitals and dispensaries. The system consists of 3 main components:

  • Call button (from a ward / patient room / ICU etc.)
  • Nurse console to display the number from where the call is made
  • Code-BLUE console which also listens to the call buttons and informs attending doctors over SMS.

The nurse call system code blue consists of a (GSM based), mobile SMS sender. Whenever a CALL button is pressed from any of the wireless remote calling units a CODE BLUE sequence is initiated. Under this sequence, the registered phone number of doctors, nurse and attendant gets an SMS from the console unit. Apart from this a nurse console station is also located nearby the code blue console unit that continuously displays the called location ID.

Wireless analog signal transmitter is capable of capturing analog input data and send over air. At the receiver end the radio packets are then decoded back to analog outputs. The analog signals can be 0-5V or 0-10V analog voltage input or even a 0-20mA or 4-20mA current input. The signal out at the receiver can be either RS232 / RS485 format digital data or same analog captured voltage or current. After installation the machine may need to be calibrated as per the environmental conditions.

For the analog current driver system the range of operation is 0.5mA to 20mA @ and external voltage of 5V to 30VDC for the 2 wire current loop driver. Linearity is maintained from ~1mA to 20mA for the current transmitter. For the analog voltage driver the range of operation can be from 0 to 10 VDC. The operating voltage of the transmitter and the receiver is 12VDC (driven from a steady 12V adapter).

The system works at a 10-bit ADC internal value. So the signal voltages for granularity more than 10 bits will encounter a loss while transmission. Further the transmitter samples the analog signals on a round-robin basis for a single / multiple channel, performs ADC and sends the data multiple time on air (for redundant packet error correction). The range of communication depends on speed of sampling and RF baud rate of the transmission.

Wireless sensor network system is a very advance design in which data from the sensors can be captured and controlled. The system consists of a transmitter that can capture data from any sensor in any format and can send across the values to the corresponding receiver unit. The data can be in any format viz. simple digital on/off signaling, or serial data like RS232/RS485/UART/I2C or SPI or even may be analog data or voltage (0-5V or 0-10V) or current (0-20mA or 4-20mA). The captured data is converted into radio packets and sent over air. The receiver decodes the radio packets and produces the sensor data either in the same format as received at the transmitter or in a generic RS232 format.

The receiver unit is also capable of producing data in serial UART format over USB (com port), via which it can be accumulated in the computer for further processing and profiling. The sensor units can also be controlled from the computer interface in the same manner. The sensor data can be captured either on round robin (polling basis) or on query (request basis).

The remote controller comes with a shielding jacket that helps to fix it to a wall. Pressing the top button / any button initiates radio alarm signals to the siren. There can be multiple sirens as well in a building. All sirens are wirelessly hooked up to a common networking system. Also there can be any number of remote controllers all across the building. In the event of panic or earthquake or fire or smoke or burglary or any sort of threat any person pressing the panic button with initiate alarm to all the sirens at a time.

It has practically no limitation of range of communication in a building premises. The system can be equipped with radio repeaters / boosters in case of long distance between remotes and sirens. There can be any number of repeater systems installed at different locations to help make the radio signals cross multiple floors of a building. No line of sight communication is needed.

Wireless computer controlled automation systems are a set of intelligent transmitters and receivers and can communicate over air. The computer connected unit captures serial interface commands from the computer and converts it to data packets. These data packets are decoded by the receiver unit that drivers the actual electrical load. There is set of protocol commands that controls the drivers.

The drivers can be of 2 varieties:

  • Driving / reading values from distant machines or learning sensor status
  • Direct driving of electrical loads and switching appliances

Driving / reading values from distant machine can be done via computer controlled automation system commands. The receiver end remains in listening mode by default. Whenever a drive command received, it drives either UART / RS232 / RS485 (serial interface) pins or simply toggles the relay position. Changing the relay position makes electrical contact possible. The relay switching capability is of various different types (depending on the models), ranges from 7A/300VAC upt0 20A/240VAC. The switching can also be done for high voltages or even 3-phase 440VAC types.

Similarly reading of digital inputs can also be done on commands basis. The “ping” command along with machine address ID is fed to the USB connector unit. That it turn sends commands to read back values of the pin status on the IO ports of the receiver unit.

The receiver drivers can control electrical loads in 3 forms:

  • Instantaneous ON / OFF
  • Smooth ON / OFF
  • Dimming control.

Instantaneous on / off is suitable for all electrical loads. This is the most convenient and generally prevailed method of switching electrical loads.

FORBIX SEMICON Wireless sirens and wireless alarm systems are equipped with a high power transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and the receiver unit comes in various different designs as per customer requirement. A few common designs of transmitters and receivers are listed below:

  • Battery operated transmitter, 2 buttons (1 for battery on/off and another for alarm on/off)
  • Power supply (12VDC) operated transmitter with an extendable electrical wire for alarm button
  • Power supply (12VDC) operated transmitter with multiple alarm buttons and extendable wires

Transmitter with extendable wires are used in various factories, plants for siren or hooter activation. The receiver also comes in various designs:

  • Receiver with inbuilt siren alarm (100-105 db output sound)

The applications for wireless siren systems is enormous and customized. The basic working principle is by sending radio signals from one point to another. A light indicator receiver has a loud siren / alarm blower. The audio can easily alert people in a radius of 200 meters in open area.

Operation mechanism:

The wireless traffic light controller system is RF wireless operated, fully automatic, timing based and programmable. The system is custom designed for multi-road junctions and different traffic sequences. We design and manufacture traffic light controller system and sequencer for a wide variety roadways and railways applications. The complete system consists of a programmable master controller unit (control and operate) and multiple slave units (to control the traffic lights). The slave units have multiple (potential-free) relay outputs points. There can be 1/2/3/4/5 or even upto 8 slave units controlled from the same master unit.

The master control unit can be programmed to control a variety of different light on / off sequences for various directions of traffic. These sequences contain individual timing of Red->Amber->Green, Flash light timing etc. The individual timing parameters can be programmed as per requirement or traffic load conditions.

This traffic light controller system is also capable of operating in manual mode, with a dedicated sequence button for each of type of traffic conditioning. Any time during the operation of automatic mode, the user can press the manual button to enter manual mode. In manual mode, the traffic lights can be controlled as per button press. Example, press 1 to make direction 1 Green and other directions are Red. Similarly, press 2 to make direction 2 Green and so on. Pressing the mode button, brings the system back to automatic mode. The master controller has an interactive menu system (operated via the menu buttons and LCD screen), to program different timing parameters of the system.

A master controller is mandatory at a particular junction. It can control more than 1 slave controllers by sending radio commands. Receiving the commands the slave controller switches the lights in a particular sequence. All timing parameters can be programmed for operating the lights. The timing values operate at an accuracy of /- 0.5seconds. Other than road traffic operation, flasher timing values can also be programmed.

The sequences and flasher timing can be fed in the master controller. The slave unit’s relay can drive AC or DC loads of traffic lights. The limit of load capacity of the relays: 7A/250VAC or 10A/125VAC or 12A/120VAC or 10A/28VDC. Any LED light / normal light loading less that the specified limits can be applied on the output ports to control.

Wireless relay switch control system is used for control of various sorts of electrical and electro-mechanical machines in residential, commercial and industrial locations. Machines like, motors, pumps, electric lights, lamps, water heater, CNC machines, air conditioners, generator sets, cranes, gates etc. can be operated from a distant location using the wireless relay switches.

The wireless remote control transmitters comes is different dimensions, viz. small buttons, large buttons, connector type etc. Electrically these wireless remote control systems can send instant signals:

  • Either once (on every push/release of buttons), or
  • Continuously (till acknowledgement is received from the receiver) or
  • Continuously for a predefined time

Each of these wireless device modules are encoded with a (factory programmable) 16 bit or 8 bit address. It also contains a specific operating frequency to avoid any radio conflict from any other neighbouring systems. These wireless remote control transmitters can be custom designed as per application / requirement. Our wireless remote control system transmitters can operate at 200 independent frequency.

We have 3 types of designs for wireless remote control systems / transmitter:
  • Superheterodyne radio transmitter, range of communication 10-20 meters
  • Medium range wireless radio transmitter, range of communication 50-600 meters
  • Long range wireless radio transmitter, range of communication 100-1200 meters
The remote control transmitter units operate in mainly 2 configurations:
  • Latch mode: Press and release a button. Receiver unit will get latched to a specific state (ON/OFF). Pressing and releasing the button again, receiver get latched to the conjugate state
  • Unlatch mode: Press a button. Receiver unit will be in this state (ON), till the button or key is pressed. Once the button is released the receiver unit switches to the conjugate state.
The wireless relay switch comes with adapter as a solution. The adapters are 240VAC/50Hz to 5VDC/12VDC, SMPS converter modules. The complete system is plug-n-play and can be easily installed and operated.

For long range of transmission it is suggested to use FBXMR23 RF module (with 23dBm PA). This is enhanced radio module with CC1100 radio chip and an external power amplifier booster. The receiver system remains the same. To achieve long distance the transmitter and receiver should be kept in an open environment with mounting done on a heightened staff or pole (not less than 12 feet). Increasing the height of the transmitter and receiver modules even higher, with clear line of sight increases the distance of communication even better.

For applications where the range of communication needed is even higher, it is suggested to use an intermediate repeater system. This repeater system is equipped with FBXMR12 module or FBXMR23 module. Also for physical locations where clear line of sight is not possible, an intermediate repeater system will help to reach the signal over desired distance. Practically any number of intermediate repeater systems can be installed to keep increasing the distance at every hop. The only caveat of such an architecture is increased propagation delay from transmitter switching to receiver reacting to the signal.

Motion sensor wireless alarm is a non-vulnerable security system in which human activity sensed by a motion sensor is alarmed to a distant location siren. The motion sensor is equipped with a wireless RF transmitter module and the siren alarm with the respective receiver unit. Whenever there is human activity or presence detected by the motion sensor, alert signal is transmitted to the alarm siren. The siren gets activated on getting this signal from the motion detector.

So even if the motion sensing device is switched off (by the intruder), the alarm with not deactivate. It can be set to OFF either by switching OFF the power supply to the alarm siren or if there is no human activity near the motion sensor.

The range of communication from the motion sensor the alarm siren unit is around 20-30 meters indoors (and around 40-50 meters outdoors). The sensing area of the motion sensing is around 2-3 meter radius.

The unit should be mounted on the wall at a height not less than 3 feet and not more than 7 feet to get optimal results.
Also it is recommended to place the motion sensing unit in the corner of an entrance room or hall or balcony or near the door.
The sensor does not sense animals or pets or birds. It blows an alarm only in the presence of humans.

The machine operates at: 12VDC. An adapter is provided along with (operating voltage 100-240VAC).
The sensors and the alarms can also operate on a 12VDC battery.

Wireless Analog Signal Transmitter

Wireless analog signal transmitter is capable of capturing analog input data and send over air. At the receiver end the radio packets are then decoded back to analog outputs. The analog signals can be 0-5V or 0-10V analog voltage input or even a 0-20mA or 4-20mA current input. The signal out at the receiver can be either RS232 / RS485 format digital data or same analog captured voltage or current. After installation the machine may need to be calibrated as per the environmental conditions.

For the analog current driver system the range of operation is 0.5mA to 20mA @ and external voltage of 5V to 30VDC for the 2 wire current loop driver. Linearity is maintained from ~1mA to 20mA for the current transmitter. For the analog voltage driver the range of operation can be from 0 to 10 VDC. The operating voltage of the transmitter and the receiver is 12VDC (driven from a steady 12V adapter).

The system works at a 10-bit ADC internal value. So the signal voltages for granularity more than 10 bits will encounter a loss while transmission. Further the transmitter samples the analog signals on a round-robin basis for a single / multiple channel, performs ADC and sends the data multiple time on air (for redundant packet error correction). The range of communication depends on speed of sampling and RF baud rate of the transmission.

OPD patient call system is an innovative method, for O.P.D.s in dispensaries and hospitals. With this system an incoming patient’s entry is made in the receptionist computer. A wireless transmitter is attached to the same computer. Every doctor will have a receiver unit attached to their respective computers. Each doctor will be able to see patient’s name, gender, time came and file number. Pressing the CALL button on the doctor’s screen will show the respective patient’s name on the receptionist computer. Once the consultation is completed the doctor can press the CLEAR button on the screen. This will remove the patient number from the receptionist screen.

This method has many obvious advantages:

  • Patients can see his/her name pop up on the screen (names as entered at the receptionist).
