FUSO range of Security Glasses resist penetration from bullets fired from hand guns, shot guns and  according to individual specification.

Bullet Resistant Glass All these glasses are multi-laminated, ranging in thickness from 13mm to 60mm. The lamination is constructed in such a way that each layer of glass and each interlayer plays a specific role in assisting to the impact of the projectile. The initial layers are broken by the bullets and become finely granulated at the point of impact thereby absorbing initial shock and energy. The subsequent layers absorb the shock waves resulting from the impact and thereby resulting in reduction of the velocity of the bullet and according to design parameters, will either limit or prevent spilling of glass fragments. Even after the attack, barrier protection is maintained and visibility (apart the actual area of impact) remains unaffected. SELECTION OF THICKNESS Thickness and Combination of the Bullet Resistant Glass will depend on factors like, resistance required against type of weapon, striking velocity, type of , mass of  and range of fire etc. the different levels of protection for which we offer Bullet Resistant Glasses, are sumamrized below. Ceramic printed glass also known as silk glass can be used in applications where it is important to mask a part or whole of glass for privacy or hiding the back ground or enhancing the look of the product or for aesthetical reasons.

Ceramic Printed Glass FUSO Ceramic Printed Glass is made by printing screen a layer of ceramic material on annealed glass before tempering or heat strengthening. After tempering or heat strengthening the layer of ceramic frit is heat bonded to glass surface making it resistant to chipping and peeling. In addition to its decorative effects FUSO Ceramic Printed also has outstanding mechanical features and impact resistance property as it is tempered or heat strengthened. Colour and patterns can be customer designed.

Heat Soaking is a heating process carried out subsequent to toughening, when specified, to detect and reject any toughened glass that may have inclusions (Nickel Sulphate) or edge defects that may cause spontaneous breakages after installation.
Heat Soaked Glass FUSO Heat Soaked Glass can be used in critical application areas to eliminate the risk of spontaneous breakage. Nickel Sulphate (NiS) has been known to be the cause of spontaneous burst in Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass. During tempering the invisible nickel sulphide present in the glass is transformed to the high tempered a- phase (t>380C) has no time to retun to the ß- phase on quenching. With the passage of time NiS slowly inverts to the low temperature ß- phase with the increase in volume of about 4%. This volume expansion may cause glass breakage. The heat soak is a destructive treatment which heat the glass for several hours at about 290 degree C to speed up the a -NiS to ß - NiS transformation and consequently forces the contaminated glassess broken within the oven. Precautions Heat Soaked Testing is not an absolute guarantee that the glass will not break spontaneously due to NiS but it substaintially lowers the risk. Studies have been concluded worldwide indicating the reliability of heat soak test to as high as 98.5%.

FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass is a type of a Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass which is valued as it retains the normal properties of annealed glass including chemical resistance, hardness expansion and deflection but with the exceptional strength & breakage characteristics. FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass is made by evenly heating float glass to approximately 650 degree C. the ceramic roller transmits glass at a lower speed to ensure an even temperature and optical performance.

Benefits

• Double Strengthened - FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass wind pressure resistance is at least twice that of annealed glass of the same thickness.
• Thermal Cracking Resistance - FUSO Heat Strengthened Glass will resist temperatures of up to approximately 250 C. In a range frm -20 C to 300 C.
• Fallout Prevention - As heat strengthened glass breaks in a manner similar to that of float glass, the fragments tends to remain in the sashes, having less probability of fallout as compared to Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass.
• In compared with Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass, heat strengthened glass is not easily broken spontaneously.
• Optical Clarity - Heat Strengthened glass has less distortions than ordinary Tempered Glass / Toughened Glass.
