Fischer DE05 is high accuracy, chemical resistant differential pressure transmitter based on fluid-filled membrane with inductive pickup measuring system. It is suitable for application with any aggressive or non-aggressive media, liquids, gases and vapours.

Working Principle:

Differential pressure DE05 is based on modular design. Measuring cell and pressure caps form differential pressure measuring mechanism. The electronics including power supply, amplifier and control PCB are located in IP65 protected housing.

If pressures are same on both sides of the measuring cell, separating membranes, measuring membranes and inductive pickup system will be idle. When differential pressure is applied on either side, measuring membranes deflect due to hydraulic coupling via filling fluid.

Due to this measuring membrance deflection with differential transformer core, a differential pressure-proportional voltage change takes place in inductive pickup system. Instrument electronic convert voltage change into a direct current signal.

DE58 comes with large on board LCD display, limit switch / contacts and analog voltage or current transmission output with characteristic curve implementation.

 Working Principle:

DE58 is based on a robust and durable diaphragm measuring unit that is suitable for measuring overpressure, underpressure and differential pressure. The pressure to be compared have an effect on spring mounted measuring diaphragm.

In case of equal pressure, the measuring diaphragm is in idle state. In case of pressure difference, force acting on the measuring diaphragm cause it to move towards lower pressure side until spring forces compensate this force.

This movement is transferred via tappet into the core of the inductive displacement sensor. The linear movement of the core is proportional to the applied differential pressure. The electronic integrated with the device evaluate this movement and transform it into signals on the display, switch contacts and an optional output signal.

Working Principle:

Fischer ME01 pressure sensor consists of ceramic measuring cell. The high durability of the ceramic material allows the pressure transmitter to be employed with aggressive media. A Wheatstone’s bridge is attached to diaphragm’s opposite side to the measured media.

As the measured pressure is applied, it causes the diaphragm to be strained. The resistance values of the Wheatstone bridge change according to applied pressure. These values are displayed and transmitted as electrical analog output signal.

Working Principle:

DE28 works on principle of movement of pressure diaphragm due to pressure or differential pressure applied on either side.

Fischer DE70 is micro-processor based smart differential pressure transmitter with highly sensitive capacitive sensor element. It is suitable for overpressure, negative pressure and differential pressure monitoring of liquid and gases, and thereby used for pressure, level and flow monitoring.

DE70 is also available in explosion proof version for hazardous area application.

Working Principle:

The pressure is applied directly to a ceramic diaphragm, causing a deformation. This mechanical deformation is converted to an electric signal by means of DMS-bridge located at the rear side.
An electronic system is integrated in the set-up of the appliance, converting the DMS – signals to electric standard signals – 4~20mA / 0~10 VDC.

Working Principle:

A metal rod need to be mounted at a fixed distance from the tank wall. This forms a capacitor when charged with AC voltage. When the rod is immersed in a liquid media, the capacitance value become function of immersed length.

With probe fixed vertically downward, immersion length is proportional to the liquid level. Hence, capacitance of the probe become function of liquid level.

Oxytrans M is state-of-art portable, battery operated instrument for continuous measurement of dissolved oxygen in liquids and gases. The instrument is designed for applications which require maximum sensitivity and highest level of accuracy. It is easy to operate and virtually maintenance-free.

Since oxytrans does not need any electrolyte solutions, nor any oxygen is consumed during the measurement, it offers precise measurement. It works optical measurement technology, based on the effect of luminescence quenching, i.e. the radiationless redistribution of excitation energy via molecular interaction.

Measurement technology / method:

A small glass component (also called ‘Optical window’) with thin layer of indicator molecule is installed in the measuring head. The indicator molecules are illuminated with blue-green light produced by an LED in the oxygen sensor. These molecules absorb the incident light and are promoted to a higher energy state. After a certain time the molecules convert back to their ground state, during which red light is emitted. The red light is detected inside in the sensor.
If O2 molecules are present the energy is transferred from the excited indicator molecules to the oxygen. This molecular interaction causes the excitation energy to be redistributed without any resultant radiation. The detected signal decreases with increasing concentration of oxygen molecules in the product. Other gases don’t absorb this energy, so they have no impact on the measurement result.

Internal Pt100 sensor automatically compensate any temperature drifts of the measured signals. The lightweight OXYTRANS M is a very sturdy portable due to its IP65 rated aluminium housing. Hoses are easily connected.

Fischer DE15 is uniquely designed, state-of-art differential pressure measuring transmitter with integrated operating pressure measuring system. The integrated pressure sensor records operating pressure of the system independent of differential pressure measuring system. Thereby, DE15 offer two independent measurement and output signal – one for differential pressure and other for operating pressure.

It can be used for non-corrosive gases and vapours including cryogenic applications.

Working Principle: Differential pressure measuring system

DE15 measuring system consists of two pressure chambers separated by a diaphragm. Differential pressure applied on either one of the chambers leads to proportional displacement of the diaphragms. This movement is transferred to an inductive displacement transducer and converted to electrical analog signal by downstream electronics.

Operating pressure measuring system

A ceramic sensor with DMS bridge is installed on (-) side of the device. The current pressure changes the form of the ceramic membrane and leads to a proportional change in resistance of DMS bridge. This change of resistance is converted to 4-20mA analog output signal.

Principles of Operation

The pressures to be compared act on flexible stainless steel diaphragms on either side of the sensing capsule. The two diaphragms are mechanically linked by a rigid connecting rod. To compensate for high static pressures, the cavity between the two diaphragms is filled with hydraulic fluid.

When pressures are equal on both diaphragms, they are at zero position. When there is a difference in pressures acting on the two diaphragms, they are deflected away from the high pressure side, towards the lower pressure side, causing a displacement of the connecting rod.

A precision mechanism translates the linear displacement of the diaphragm connecting rod to angular movement of the gauge’s dial pointer.The connecting rod has intermediate flanges on either side, which protects the diaphragms against excess differential pressure.

When differential pressure exceeds the specified limit, the flange towards the lower pressure side is pressed against the sealing O-ring on the inside of the sensing capsule.

 Working Principle:

DS21 is based on rugged and uncomplicated diaphragm movement. It is suitable for overpressure, partial vacuum and differential pressure measurements.

The forces of springs on each side of diaphragm is balanced in a state of equilibrium. The applied pressure or differential pressure will creates an unbalanced force at the diaphragm. This force moves the diaphragm system against the force of the springs for the measuring range until a new equilibrium is reached. When subjected to excessive pressure, the diaphragm rests on metal supporting plates.

A centre-mounted tappet transfers the motion of the diaphragm system to the motion work and to the actuating elements of the microswitches.
