DE38 Explosion proof DP Transmitter cum switch is multi-functional field mounted pressure. It has combination of digital LED readout display, transmitter function and dual limit detection & control relays.

DE38 can be used for measurement and control of positive or negative gauge pressure, differential pressure, vacuum pressure of  gases, liquids or oil; lubricant / hydrocarbons, liquid flow measurement, and liquid level.

Thus, DE38 is compatible and ideal for use with relatively clean and non-corrosive gases and liquids.

DE38##R and DE38###S are explosion proof or flame proof version, and hence ideal for installation in gas hazardous area Zone 2 and dust hazardous area Zone 22 respectively.

Working Principle:

Fischer DE38 DP Transmitter uses a tough yet flexible sensing diaphragm embedded between stiffening plates and balanced by springs on either side.

Linear displacement of this LVDT is proportional to the pressure difference across the diaphragm. Thus, this displacement is converted to electrical signal output. An optional output signal can be slew rate limited, spreaded, inverted and transformed non-linearly by means of a table function.

DE44 is multi-function pressure instrument which combines digital readout, dual limit detection relays and transmitter output.

It can measure positive gauge, negative or differential pressure of two independent gas or air pressure sources.

Working Principle:

Fischer DE44 Ex is based on dual piezo-resistive sensing element. The pressure is measured directly by piezo-resistive resistance bridge that is formed on surface of an integral silicon diaphragm in each sensor chamber.

The change in pressure results in change of resistance that is converted to varying voltage and which in turn convert to digital signals. The instrument’s internal micro-controller transfers measured value to LED Display, control two limit detection contacts/ relays, and transmit measured values through analog conversion stage as voltage or current signal.

An optional output signal can be slew limited, spreaded, inverted and transformed non-linearly by means of table function.

Construction and Operation:

This transmitter is based on a rugged and uncomplicated diaphragm movement. The operating principle of the system is identical for all applications of this type. In a state of equilibrium, the forces of the springs on both sides of the diaphragm are balanced. The pressure or differential pressure to be measured creates an unbalanced force of the springs for the measuring range until a new equilibrium is reached. A center-mounted tappet transfers the motion of the diaphragm system to the core of an inductive displacement transducer. The subsequent converter circuit converts this motion into an electrical output signal 0(4) - 20 ma linear, 3-wire connection. The transmitter is reverse battery and short circuit protected.

    Principles of Operation:

    The type DE 70 differential pressure transmitter uses a silicon capacitance sensor with a bridge measuring circuit, the output of which changes when the pressure changes. Modern microprocessor technology is used to convert the bridge output to a standard 4-20 mA signal, which permits the measured value to be transmitted over long distances. A hart interface is also available, using an optional communication module installed in the transmitter. With the hart interface, digitally transmitted pressure measurements, as well as the transmitter’s set-up data can be read very accurately by simply connecting a compatible terminal device at any point along the length of the signal output loop. Also, the terminal device can also be used to re-configure the transmitter’s set-up parameters: locally, or from a remote location.
