    OPTIONAL - one hour boat ride across Mumbai Harbour brings you to the lush green Elephanta Island. Here, visit some of the huge and intricately carved Elephanta Caves that date back to the 8th century. For rows of massive columns cut into solid rock from three magnificent avenues, lead to the outstanding three-headed sculpture representing Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer. Dedicated to Shiva, the beauty and power of these phenomenal sculptures depicting the various manifestations of Shiva is overpowering. Afternoon, city tour of Bombay - the great port city with its Victorian Gothic buildings from the British Raj Era mingling with the modern. The tour includes Gateway of India overlooking the Harbour, the, the Towers of Silence, Marine Drive and the Dhobi Ghat, the unique and colourful outdoor 'laundry'. Also visit Mani Bhawan, a small museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi, and the bustling Crawford Market. Day 1 of your Alleppey Houseboat Tour starts with a pick up from Alleppey Finishing Point Jetty sharp at 1200 hours. After that you will cruise through Pallathuruthy River, Pullangady and finally reach Champakulam. Have lunch and visit the Champakulam Church, which is more than 200 years old. Also visit the famous snake boat known as Champakulam Chundan and Kottaram temple. After that head to Munnattumugham for a night stay. DEPARTURE     Begin the second day of your Alleppey Houseboat Tour with a healthy breakfast after which the cruise will start on its way through some small villages like Kainakary, Pallathuruthy and Kuppapuram to reach Alleppey Finishing Point Jetty at sharp 1000 hours. Later we move to Pookot Lake. Pookot Lake is a fresh water lake bounded my mountains on all sides and is marked by a beautiful aquarium and green house. You can enjoy a cruise through the lake. Buy some spices, handicrafts etc. also. In the evening: return to the hotel, overnight stay in hotel.

MYSORE
After breakfast, we transfer you to Mysore (145KM).Enroute visit Sirangapatnam - capital of warrior - King Hyder Ali & his son Tipu Sultan. Arrive Mysore and check in the hotel. In the after noon go to visit Mysore Palace: Once the residence of the Woodeyars, Built in 1912 in the Indo - Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. Overnight stay is in Mysore.

DEPARTURE     After breakfast we drive back to Bangalore 145 KM /4 hrs in order to take the flight to onward destination.
