This edition of Indian Administration is revised, updated and a comprehensive treatise on Indian administration today. It is not only a comprehensive compendium of the past events, but also suggests workable guidelines for the future administration of the country. The challenges of democracy, development, information technology and liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation are being accommodated in the developing structures and changing processes of Indian Public Administration in fourteen chapters. Each chapter has been redesigned according to the need of students as well as teachers. The perceptive students of the discipline can explore the impact of legacies of the past, the maladies that ail the present and the new public management patterns that are emerging for the future in these two volumes. About the Book

The central focus of the book is to look into what actually happened in the political system in South Asia during its first decade which led to the rise of dictatorship and ultimate collapse of democracy in this region. Here national integration has been linked with good governance. Nation building has been examined as a separate and distinct problem. The work provides the tentative answers to the current existing problems of Pakistan. The historicity analyses why today Pakistan has virtually emerged as a failed state. The study can help understand the nation building process and problem in third world countries, especially those who came out of the process of decolonization after Second World War.

Poverty can be defined as a social phenomenon in which a section of the society is unable to fulfill even its basic necessities of life. Poverty has many causes, some of them very basic. Rural employment means employment opportunity in rural areas. The present book highlights, considers and discusses various contemporary issues of development. It is hoped that the present edition of this book will be beneficial to all concerned of the society, in general and students, lawyers, advocates, academicians, human rights institutions, researchers and NGOs working in developmental studies/economics field, in particular.

        Rural India Book

Rs 2,700 / PieceGet Latest Price

        About the Book :-

Rural development implies both the economic betterment of people as well as greater social transformation. The increasing contact with the outside world made possible by improved communications has considerably reduced the isolation of the rural areas and rural development become core issue of the Government of India. The rural development project received impetus under British colonial rule, although its agenda was concerned about the maintenance of law and order and ensuring the supplies of cheap raw materials for British industries. Since independence, the Government has designed and implemented several socio-political and economic development programmes for rural development.

        Theory of Public Administration Book

Rs 3,500 / PieceGet Latest Price

        About the Book

This edition represents a critical approach to the theory of public administration that evolved first in the practice of administration and then in the classrooms of the teachers and students. This book is redesigned primarily for use as a reference cum textbook for a theoretical course in Public Administration though we believe it will also stand by itself as an introduction to the major areas of the subject.

We believe that a study of administration constructed on this framework will be as useful to the student who wishes citizenship training as to the student who wishes preparation for an administrative career. We believe that this, or a similar, approach must guide the teacher if he is to reach effectively the student who has had little administrative experience, and if he is to relate theory meaningfully to practice for the student who has had such experience. In writing this book, we have incurred numerous and heavy debts to our administrative and academic colleagues and to our students. Most of what we have learned through the informal communication channels of our profession must remain unacknowledged.
