Online ion-selective Fluoride measurements in industrial and environmental applications
ISE technology for optimal analytical performanceWith limited maintenance requirements and reduced reagent consumption, the EZ3000 Series are the ideal choice for a wide range of water monitoring applications where ion-selective electrodes are the preferred analytical technique. Outstanding precision and stability is guaranteed by the temperaturecontrolled measurement.
Direct, discontinuous ISE method
Contrary to separate electrodes or other analysers in the market, the EZ3000 Series does not run a continuous measurement. The principle of discontinuous ISE analysis not only enhances control over conversion of ion activity to electric potential, it also eliminates risk of cross-contamination between cycles and reduces overall consumption of reagents.
The EZ3000 Series combine unique ISE technology with a set of analysis, control and communication features in an industrial analyser mainframe with designed for the highest performance:
- Automatic direct ion-selective measurements

Online, automatic monitoring of Total Phosphorus (TP) in wastewater and general water applications
The EZ7800 Series of Online TP Analysers meet the needs for fast, convenient and reliable monitoring of the regulatory sum parameter Total Phosphorus in municipal and industrial wastewater as well as surface water applications. The EZ7800 Series share similar technology with the EZ7700 Series which monitor Total Nitrogen.
Phosphorus is often synonymous with phosphate but can be present in different forms: orthophosphate (O-phosphate), condensed phosphate (polyphosphate) or organically bonded phosphate. O-phosphate is often the only form that is measured with traditional test kits or even in laboratory, yet the organic form of phosphate can be an important constituent of industrial discharges, often deriving from corrosion control programs or use of fertilisers. In summary, knowing levels of TP can be an important added value to waste water operations.
The EZ7800 Online Total Phosphorus Analyser allows operators of industrial and municipal water works to monitor and control in a convenient way the total portion of phosphorous, if needed combined with a free phosphate measurement. The analyser’s industrial mainframe harnesses a proprietary sample digestion technique combined with a proprietary sample digestion technique combined with seamless operation:

Online, automatic monitoring of Total Nitrogen (TN) in wastewater and general water applications
The EZ7700 Series of Online TN Analysers meet the needs for fast, convenient and reliable monitoring of the regulatory sum parameter Total Nitrogen in wastewater and surface water applications.
Ammonia, nitrate and nitrite are three key nitrogen species that play an important role in decomposition of organic material in water and biological water treatment in particular. While data on individual levels of these provide operators of WWTP’s insight in the biochemical processes, other organic and inorganic forms of nitrogen may also be of significance. Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN) was originally developed as a measure of organic nitrogen but in practice it was often considered as synonymous with Total Nitrogen (TN) due to the lack of other available technologies. Still today, TN is often confused with TKN.
The EZ7700 Series of Online TN Analysers were developed in the framework of a research project to provide operators and utilities a viable alternative for the complex and time-consuming TKN method. TN as measured by the EZ7700 comprises all components, organic and inorganic, of the nitrogen cycle by the analyser’s proprietary sample digestion technique, now available in an industrial mainframe with a compact footprint:
- Full oxidation of all nitrogen species
- Smart automatic features
- Control and communication via industrial panel PC
- Standard 4 - 20 mA signal output with alarm processing

Online, automatic respirometry for early warning of toxicity in wastewater treatment plants
Early Warning System against calamities
The EZ7900 Online Toxicity Analyser is able to detect and measure waste water streams that present an acute or chronic toxicity to the biomass of a water treatment plant. This allows operators to take corrective measures to protect the viability of the activated sludge.
Representative measurements on fresh sludge
Measurements are carried out on real sludge freshly sampled from the treatment plant by means of a self-cleaning sampling-filtration system (option). This unique approach has the following advantages: dynamic changes in biomass viability are immediately detected, while sample temperature and pH in the analysis vessel reflects those of the treatment plant.
The EZ7900 Series combine a unique, field-proven respirometric analyser design with a robust sampling-filtration system, assuring detection of toxic compounds or shock loads in an early stage:
- Detection of acute and chronic toxicity on activated sludge
- Measurement of the respiration rate by means of a single dissolved oxygen (DO) sensor
- Smart automatic features
- Standard 4 - 20 mA signal output with alarm processing
- Communication ports supporting connectivity to Modbus
- Multiple stream analysis

Online colorimetric analysis of Free Chlorine in water
EZ1000 Free Chlorine Analysers achieve excellent precision and accuracy. At the heart of the colorimeter there is a compact photometer assembly developed especially for the EZ Series. Consumption of reagents is reduced by low volume analysis, yet high sensitivity is assured by a long optical path length. The limit of detection is in the low µg/L range.
Results you can rely on
Smart automatic features for calibration, validation, priming and cleaning are embedded in the controller software and contribute to analytical performance, maximised uptime and negligible operator invervention. Precision micropumps dose all reagents. Sample lines and analysis vessel are cleaned with demineralised water to eliminate cross contamination between samples. Electronic and wet-chemical part of the analyser are strictly separated. A transparent door allows for instant visual inspection of the wet part.
Flexibility that meets your needs
EZ Series Free Chlorine Analysers come in an attractive, ergonomic mainframe with a compact footprint. All hardware is controlled by the integrated industrial panel PC. The modular build allows for the analyser to match your application and operational needs.

Trace metal analysis of dissolved Cadmium Cd(II) + dissolved Lead Pb(II)in water by online voltammetry
The EZ6000 Series of Online Trace Metal Analysers are based on the technology of stripping voltammetry, a sensitive analytical technique that can be automated for the determination of trace levels of metals in water. For many metals the EZ6000 Series boasts limits of quantification in the low ppb range, comparing the technique favorably with AAS or ICP analysis.
Single, multiple and total parameter configurations
Several product sublines with a wealth of combinations are available for determination of trace metals, including the standard single parameter and multi-parameter configurations without digestion. Measurement of complexed or adsorbed metals is possible by means of the configurations with built-in digester. Combinations of metals depend on the choice of working electrode and the priority metals for your application.
Advanced features
The EZ6000 Series build upon tried and tested voltammetry technology used in many clean water applications, in an industrial mainframe with the following prime features:
- Excellent selectivity and sensitivity
- Built-in sample digestion unit (hot acid or UV)
- Smart automatic features
- Standard 4 - 20 mA signal output with alarm processing
- Communication ports supporting connectivity to Modbus

Convenient and precise sample dilution up to 1/250 - compatible with EZ Series online analysers
The successful implementation of online analysers in process control strategies could not have been achieved without the development of a new generation of automatic sampling and sample preconditioning systems. The EZ9000 Series are the result of many years of experience in filtration, dilution and settling.
The EZ9700 is an external dilution unit designed for sample dilution in water analysis applications where concentrations of the analyte are so elevated that absorbance readings would be out of range, while any internal sample dilution would not be sufficient to cover the broad measuring range. The unit combines a number of features with ease of use:
- Discontinuous sample dilution system for external dilution up to 1/250
- Robust alternative to internal sample dilution by micropump or dispenser
- Dilution with demineralised water
- Fully controlled by analyser panel PC

Online, automatic monitoring of critical process parameters and process efficiency in anaerobic digesters
A new control alternative for anaerobic digestion
Due to the expensive or time-consuming character of most analysis methods for anaerobic processes, industrial digesters are usually not adequately monitored. Developed specifically for monitoring anaerobic digesters, the EZ7200 Series bring the possibility of implementing new control alternatives to typical operating problems in mid to large scale digesters.
Critical parameter monitoring, online and automatic Anaerobic digesters require monitoring of a specific set of critical parameters in order to obtain optimal production efficiency, compliance and biogas yield. The primary parameter is volatile fatty acids (VFAs), representing the metabolic condition of the anaerobic digester and responding quickly to stress induced changes, combined with bicarbonate and alkalinity.
The EZ7200 Series are easy-to-operate online titrators using a unique and robust method for measuring the critical process parameters in one single run, enabling insight as well as full control over the anaerobic process:
- Direct titration with minimum volatilisation
- Continuous monitoring of the anaerobic process
- Enabling higher loading rate for maximum CH4 production
- Prevention of digester failure due to VFA accumulation
- Easy implementation within a dynamic control strategy
- Easy integration into corporate networks

Online, automatic monitoring of critical process parameters and process efficiency in anaerobic digesters
A new control alternative for anaerobic digestion
Due to the expensive or time-consuming character of most analysis methods for anaerobic processes, industrial digesters are usually not adequately monitored. Developed specifically for monitoring anaerobic digesters, the EZ7200 Series bring the possibility of implementing new control alternatives to typical operating problems in mid to large scale digesters.
Critical parameter monitoring, online and automatic
Anaerobic digesters require monitoring of a specific set of critical parameters in order to obtain optimal production efficiency, compliance and biogas yield.

Online monitoring of microbial activity in process water and drinking water applications
The first online microbiology analyser complying with standard method ASTM 4012-81
The EZ7300 Series monitor total bacterial and pathogen load in water by measuring portions of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) of any type of microbial microorganism present in the water sample i.e. bacteria (pathogenic and non-pathogenic), microalgae and protozoa. The analyser can be used as an Early Warning System in various applications with focus on water safety, when high ATP values indicate a potential risk in surpassing a threshold value of microorganisms in the past or in the near future.
Determination of total, intracellular and free ATP levels
Contrary to commonly available manual or semi-automated methods, the EZ7300 Series guarantees complete ATP recovery by quantifying different ATP portions in the sample. Operators now can access data on both extracellular (free) and intracellular ATP values, in order to differentiate living biomass from the non-living.
