The CA610 Fluoride Analyzer uses advanced ion-selective electrode (ISE) technology for continuous monitoring of fluoride concentration in drinking water effluent. Accuracy is ensured with precise control of temperature, ionic strength, and pH. Interferences that can bias measurements are virtually eliminated with this electrode.
The electrode of the CA610 analyzer is made with a molded fluoride crystal tip. Electrodes are equipped with BNC connectors so that they can be independently checked with laboratory electrochemical meters.
The ISE system of the CA610 analyzer includes a reference pH electrode and a working electrode. Three reagents are used: Total Ionic Strength Adjustment Buffer (TISAB) solution and two fluoride standards. The Ionic strength adjustment lets the electrode respond to concentration instead of activity. The pH control ensures fluoride is present in its ionic state. The Weak complexes formed by certain metals (for example, aluminum) are broken up by TISAB and chelates potential interferents for accurate fluoride measurement.
Two calibration standards are fully enclosed in the CA610 analyzer's case. The instrument performs a 2-point calibration at 0.5 and 5.0 mg/L fluoride at user-selected time intervals. Automatic calibration intervals can be set for 1 day to 1 month.
Ion-selective electrode with patented, replaceable tip. Automatic calibration. Temperature-controlled wall-jet flow cell. Rugged, lightweight enclosure. Ultra-low reagent consumption.
Reliable, Full-time Fluoride Monitoring
The CA610 Fluoride Analyzer uses advanced ion-selective electrode (ISE) technology for continuous monitoring of fluoride concentration in drinking water effluent. Accuracy is ensured with precise control of temperature, ionic strength, and pH. Interferences that can bias measurements are virtually eliminated with this electrode.
Patented Electrode Design with Replaceable Tip
The proven ISE technology of the electrode is enhanced by a patented* design and manufacturing process. The lanthanum crystal at the tip of the probe is molded into a one-piece, monolithic tip that is threaded for easy removal. This prevents errors and premature failures. Electrodes are equipped with BNC connectors so that they can be independently checked with laboratory electrochemical meters.
Cost Effective Operation
The electrode of the CA610 analyzer is made with a molded fluoride crystal tip. The working life of the electrode is approximately one year. The specially designed tip of the electrode should be replaced every six months. Reagent consumption is very low and maintenance is simple.
Method of Analysis
The ISE system of the CA610 analyzer includes a reference pH electrode and a working electrode. Three reagents are used: Total Ionic Strength Adjustment Buffer (TISAB) solution and two fluoride standards. The TISAB is used for the following purposes.
Automatic Calibration
Two calibration standards are fully enclosed in the CA610 analyzer's case. The instrument performs a 2-point calibration at 0.5 and 5.0 mg/L fluoride at user-selected time intervals. Automatic calibration intervals can be set for 1 day to 1 month. Readings and calculations of the most recent calibration is stored in the instrument.
Alarm:
Two alarms, selectable for sample concentration, system warning or system shutdown. Each alarm equipped with an SPDT relay with contacts rated for 5 A resisitive load at 230 Vac.

The turbidity bypass sensor that brings clarity
Turbidities in the range of FNU (NTU) 0.0001-1,000 are measured and displayed alphanumerically using a controller. This high resolution facilitates precision differentiation, even for ultra clear liquids. A pulsed, long-life IR radiation source (LED) ensures that costs are minimized. Designed in accordance with DIN EN ISO 7027 and permanently calibrated before leaving the factory. All key data is set to practical standard values. The instruments are immediately ready for use after connection to the power supply and the supply of sample water. The measuring range and all data outputs are modified to suit requirements using menus on the controller. All optical and electronic assemblies are installed in housings that are physically very strong and proof against water jets.
Wide measuring range-0 to 1,000 NTU
The Hach Ultraturb plus sc Sensor measures turbidity from 0 to 1000 FNU (NTU) for a wide variety of low to medium range turbidity applications. Use it to effectively monitor conventional filtered water processes, effluent water, distribution systems, and elevated tanks where small-sized particulates or air entrapment may be an issue.
Self-cleaning Sample Chamber Option
The Ultraturb sensor is available with an automatically self-cleaning sample chamber that guarantees stable measured values. The silicon wiper blades inside the sample chamber are held in place with a magnetic coupling wheel to further keep the sample chamber intact.
Suitable for seawater, brackish water, raw water and other applications
The new Ultraturb seawater sc is resistant to salt concentrations up to 65 g/L.
Ratio Methodology Detects Sample Chamber Fouling
The Ultraturb sensor uses ratio methodology with detection at 90° and 180° to minimize reflections in the measuring cell and on the windows. In this way, fouling of the sample chamber is detected earlier than with a single detection system.
The Ultraturb sensor can be used with Hach''s SC200 and SC1000 Digital Controllers. The SC200 controller accepts up to two sensors. The SC1000 accepts up to eight sensors. Multiple controllers can be networked to accommodate many more sensors and parameters, reducing the cost per measuring point. Just plug in any Hach "plug and play" digital sensor and its ready to use without software configuration. Plug and play connectivity means there''s no complicated wiring or set up. Network the Ultraturb sensor with any of Hach''s digital sensors for measuring dissolved oxygen, ORP, conductivity, and many other parameters.
