Our single phase i4 Series Industrial UPS has been designed to perform under extreme operating conditions that normally exist in industrialenvironments. The use of Digital Signal Processors (DSP) has made the control loop of the Uninterruptible Power Supply (IGBT UPS) very stable, drift free and with better HMI for monitoring, control and precise settings of parameters. High speed CAN Bus interfaced sections make the system response very fast to handle the extreme transient load conditions. Our itPower Online UPS is eminently suited for application in Banks, Small Networks, Servers, IT Equipments, Telecom, V-SAT, ATM, Medical, Small & Medium Data Centres.

Our itPower Online UPS has three major components, Charger / Rectifier, Storage Batteries and Power Inverter. Incoming alternating current from the utility company enters the charger/rectifier where it is converted to direct current. This direct current charges the batteries and supplies power to the inverter which converts the direct current back to alternating current.

Our itPower Online UPS offers the advantage of supplying power to the loads continuously, no matter what happens to the utility power. But the benefits of same go beyond its ability to continuously supply power. The process of taking alternating current from the utility and converting it to direct current, then back to alternating current, eliminates practically all power disturbances, including transients, noise, and voltage fluctuations.

The "Hitec" make Diesel Rotary UPS (DRUPS) Power Module comes with skid-mount single shaft assembly of rotating machines - basically comprising Diesel Engine, Free-Wheel Clutch, Induction Coupling and Generator.

Under normal operating conditions the mains power feeds the DRUPS System and customer's Critical Load via specially designed choke by Hitec. The DRUPS system stabilises the mains voltage within the acceptable tolerances and improves the power factor of the system. The DRUPS System runs continuously synchronised with the mains.

When the mains power supply to the DRUPS System fails or goes out of tolerances, the DRUPS System continues to supply full output load without interruption. Simultaneously the incoming mains get disconnected from the system. The rotary energy storage device (induction coupling) ensures continuity of power during the diesel engine start-up period. After reaching full speed, the diesel engine engages to the induction coupling and generator via free wheel clutch and works as normal standby diesel generating set. The load never knows the power transfer from mains to DG set.
