Good results are obtained by raising seedlings in boxes or pots, pricking out few inches high, and planting during the first rains, and preferably early in the second rains. Successful germination often results from direct sowing on prepared ridges, about 1 ft high. The bark of the tree is used as an astringent for diarrhea, and the seed extract possesses agglutinating properties.
