Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd (HCEIPL) was established in 2007 with an aim to bring the latest technology in construction equipment and mining solutions to the Indian market. The company inaugurated the India plant in Chakan Maharashtra in 2008 to ensure the best offerings for the Indian market. Hyundai’s first excavator was rolled out in India the same year. Since then, Hyundai Construction Equipment India has continued full steam ahead, setting new benchmarks for the industry to follow. Within a span of 8 years, Hyundai India dominated the excavator market with No 2 position in terms of sales. This can be gauged from the fact that the company saw a rollout of more than 25,000 machines from its India plant, a feat that is fastest in the industry. To meet the demand of the burgeoning industry, Hyundai launched the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) business.Hyundai’s commitment to provide world class equipment that meets the highest global standards, which is reliable as well as efficient, has earned the brand a strong following in the industry and a place of pride among its peers.

Year 2018 has been a great year for the Indian infrastructure resulting in good growth for the Indian Construction Equipment sector. With our right strategies and the hard work put in by each one of you, we have not only consolidate our market leader (2nd) position in the Indian market.
Year 2019 is challenging time for the Indian market with the national elections round the corner. However we at Hyundai Construction Equipment India are looking long term and will continue with our investments in increasing and improving our production capacity. Also we are moving global R&D center and our head office to new locations to give extra focus and attention to the R&D and Sales functions. . We are getting continuous support, guidance and investments from our head quarters at Korea to take the Indian operations to greater heights.
I am confident that ‘Team Hyundai India’ will overcome all the challenges in 2019 and excel by producing products of improved quality, continuous innovation, keeping material and other costs under control and our aggressive marketing strategy. We now have senior personnel in HR & IR who will ensure we give extra focus and attention to the development of our employees to take the organization towards #1 position in India.
