IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited (IL&FS Engineering Services) in joint venture with GPT Infraprojects Ltd. has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) for the work of design and construction of rail flyover near Ganjkhwaja in Uttar Pradesh and formation in embankments/cuttings including blanketing, bridges (major, minor & RUBs), supply and spreading of ballast and other related infrastructural works for double track electrified railway line in different stretches between Dehri-on-Sone & Mughalsarai section of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor in the states of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh on Design Build Lump Sum basis.

The total value of this project is Rs. 144.65 Crores, which is to be completed in 30 months.

IL&FS Engineering Services is executing the below MRTS works:

# MRTS – Phase-I-Madras Beach Tirumailai – Mundakanniamman Koil Station building works - Superstructure, platform roof, steel truss, sheeting and RCC works in columns, beams, floor slabs, roof slabs, etc. and finishing works consisting of brick work, plastering, flooring, joineries, water supply, sewerages, construction of retaining wall, compound wall, approach bridge, circulating road, etc. 
# Phase-II – Tirumailai – Velachery-Construction of compound wall, ramp for handicapped, approach road, circulating area, service roads, retaining wall, canal covering slab and balance finishing works etc. at Greenways Road, Indira Nagar, Tiruvanmiyur and Kasturba Nagar stations 
# Construction of RCC bridges for stabling lines in the Car Shed at Velachery and construction of subway at Velachery 
# Infrastructure facilities to EMU Car Shed at Velachery and Velachery station 
# Improvements to MTP (Railways) Head Office at Egmore
