Originally Hyderabad Growth Corridor Limited awarded the construction of 8 Lane Access Controlled for the Package AP-2 from Kollur to Patancheru from KM 12 000 to 23 700 on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT-Annuity) basis, vide Concession Agreement dated August 17, 2007, to Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company viz Cyberabad Expressway Limited (CEL/Employer, incorporated by the Consortium comprising IECCL (formerly Maytas Infra Limited) and Gayatri Projects Limited).
CEL appointed IECCL as EPC Contractor for executing the AP-2 project works. The project was successfully completed in March 2012.

The project involved construction of six lane outer ring road with two lane service road on both sides connecting Mysore road and Magadi road in Bangalore for 4.82 kms. The Rs. 66.62 crores project was awarded to IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Limited in Dec 2005.
The scope of work included construction of 6 lane dual carriageway with 2 lane service roads on both sides, four vehicular underpass, one minor bridge, widening of existing culverts, reinforced cement concrete and reinforced earth retaining walls, junction improvement, R.C.C drains, traffic signs, road markings, pavement structure and marking, painting, and so on. Also, a 4 lane flyover at Bommasandra (km 21.170 to km 22.000), and 6 lane flyovers at Chandapura (km 23.720 to km 24.600) and Attibele (km 31.690 to km 32.400) have been built to ease the regular highway traffic along the stretch. The Consortium will operate and maintain the roads in the stretch between Silk Board Junction and Inter State Border for the next 18 years. The concession period is 20 years.
