National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a national level scholarship exam. It is conducted by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) every year. The idea behind NTSE is to identify young potential and help promote them through financial support.
Overview

There will be two stage selection process for award of scholarship. Stage-I- For stage I selection will be done by State and UTs via written examination. Stage-II- Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible for appearing in Stage II examination which is conducted by NCERT.

The examination is a written test and subjects include (for both the stages)- Mental Ability Test (MAT) (time duration of 45 minutes), Language Test (LT) English / Hindi (time duration of 45 minutes) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) ( time duration of 90 minutes)

NOTE

• 1. At Stage II (National level) there will be negative marking in each paper. For each wrong answer 1/3rd mark will be deducted.
• 2. No marks will be deducted for un attempted questions.
• 3. Qualifying marks for candidates from General category is 40% in each paper and for candidates from SC, ST and PH IS 32% in each paper.
• 4. Language test will be qualifying in nature and marks obtained for Language Test will not be counted for final merit.

Eligibility

Age For students registered under Open Distance Learning will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July of particular year), the student should not be employed and s/he should be appearing in class X examination for the first time.

Educational Qualification All the students of class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for stage I Examination conducted by State/ UTs. There will be no domicile restriction.

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH-CET) is a computer-based management entrance test. Officially known as MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, the exam is conducted by theDirectorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra,for admission to various management courses such as MBA/MMS,BE/B Tech, MCA,B.HMCT, M.HMCT, M ARCH in various institutes in the state of Maharashtra.

The admission to the management courses such as MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM is a centralised process and covered under Centralized Admission Process (CAP) carried out by the Competent Authority of the State of Maharashtra.

The exam will be held in multiple sessions. "Competent Authority, using standardized equi-percentile method, will be equating scores across sessions," informs the official website.

Thetest comprises of multiple choice objective type questions. Candidates need to attempt 200 questions in 150 minutes.
