Manipal-City & Guilds are an India-UK joint venture founded in 2009, which combines the strengths of Manipal Global Education Services and City & Guilds, a 130-year-old World leader in skills development that provides curriculum, course content, assessment, certification services and 600+ qualifications across 8000+ centres, over 80 countries. Manipal City & Guilds supports individuals along with the government and industry not just in training, through Manipal-City & Guilds, but also in quality assurance and management, qualification development, Train-the-Trainer programmes, assessment and certification services and policy expertise. Manipal City & Guilds provides vocational training, working with employers, National and State Government and training partners. Through a network of over 100 centres across 25 States our training business has delivered training to tens of thousands of learners across a range of sectors and qualifications. For example we train in retail, hospitality, banking & finance, construction, security, automotive, air-conditioning and refrigeration, to name a few. We work directly with employers to design training programmes to suit their specific needs, and through vocational training partners who use the curriculum, training materials and assessment and certification services that we provide.
We work with Government agencies, Sector Skills Councils and other training companies to provide the range of services that have built City & Guilds’ reputation for excellence in vocational education. We offer learning technologies, curriculum design and development, and assessment and certification services. We at MCG provides job-oriented skills for the economically challenged youth partnering with Government & NGOs, to ensure that they are up skilled to meet the industry requirements & provide them with jobs that would guarantee a secure future. We work with an aim of enhancing livelihood of candidates from General/SC/ST/OBCs through vocational skills. We work with governments to develop skills solutions and embed our qualifications into the vocational education system and curriculum.
